Here is a better plan - get a part time job at a hotel/motel to subsidize your AS purchase. You get both a paycheck and the Experience from dealing with one night renters who trash rooms, leave stains on furniture and beds, start fires in microwaves, burn holes in carpet. Then decide who you will allow to sleep in your personal home

Then again my sister-in-law has Airbnb for years, had no problems and made good money.

Know what your plan is when a guest smokes a cigar in your Airstream?
Or breaks the latch on the fridge because his kid didn't know how to open it.

Then, be aware of the tax implications of being a renter. You may see it as sharing, but the IRS sees it as income and your insurance company sees it as commercial use.

Not to say it can't be successfully done, I'm too anal to allow anyone to use mine unless I'm there.

Insurance - your personal policy, I bet, will not cover ANY damages while it is rented out especially wear and tear damages, which are the most likely you will get such as broken things due misuse.

I was a landlord once out of necessity when the economy was bad and I couldn’t sell my home. Conclusion? No one takes care of other people’s stuff. Heck, look how some folks live - most people, including the “affluent” (so called), don’t even take of their own stuff. They’re all conditioned to live in a biodegradable economy where you just buy new when it breaks (and some in filth as well). Either way, you’ll cry when the AS gets returned.

Even your business model has holes: if you’re going to get extra liability for $3k a year, how often or for how much per night do you expect to rent your rig before even that gets paid off?

Protect your investment. Get a nice RV cover and admire your AS between camping trips when working in the yard. That’s what I do.🤣

Seriously, I don’t want to poo-poo your idea but I think you’ll end up on the losing end and be sadly disappointed. Good luck
