Eagle webcam

There's an eagle nest webcam you might find interesting at: www.webcams.dnr.state.mn.us/eagle/

It's a nest around St Paul, MN somewhere. Last we knew it had 2 eggs. Not real exciting right now as the nest is occupied full time with parents trying to keep the eggs warm, which isn't easy in our recent weather. As the eggs hatch, though it'll get more interesting!

Ya know, I became obsessed with a webcam/dencam some years ago.....found it in these forums.....it was black bear Lily and her cub...Hope.

Nearly took over my life....oh, the drama.

Thanks, Minno....don't know if I dare.

Very cool! I assume that is down lining the nest, and not snow!

Try the Alcoa eagle nest in Iowa. There are 2 eggs. This pair has been here for about 5 years.
Later, one will be able to see the Falcon nest in downtown Davenport, one will access that web camera through WQAD-TV in Moline Illinois.

That is snow lining the nest. The eagle is settled into grass, etc. under the eggs for warmth. Hopefully this week, the snow will melt off....

Very cool to see others interested in this!!! Eagle like all raptors don't line their nests with down, though many will pull feathers and 'weave ' them in as they start to molt. The suspicion is more towards them not wanting feathers around the nest site as a flag for other ground type predators.

Several of our goshawks (I am a long time (20+ years) raptor propagator) are showing signs of coming into breeding condition and soon will be making sin preparation to breeding season.
Thanks for posting the site!!

Thanks for posting. We had a great webcam in Norfolk, Va about two years ago with an eagle family. Only problem was that it was close to the airport and one of the eagle adults was killed by a collision with an airplane. They decided to move the nest after this happened. Looking forward to lots of activity as spring comes.

Eagle cams are a dime a dozen. PM me as soon as someone finds Pterodactyl cam.

2 eggs have hatched in the last few days. There is 1 more egg in the nest expected to hatch soon. I have only gotten glimpses of the babies but there's an article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune today with good pictures.
We have an adult eagle floating over our property on and off the past few weeks. I suspect it may be nesting on Chain of Lakes a few miles up the road from us. I enjoy seeing them, as I do all birds and wildlife.
Haven't seen any pterodactyls.....

Kay, the eagle cam is amazing. The kids have watched it. My two nieces are on scholarship at Berry College.
