Doormat

The grey airstream doormat is not very effective other than as a branding opportunity. When it’s wet outside I can wipe my feet 10 times and still have wet footprints on the floor. Anyone have a recommendation for a better mat?

We use this heavy duty ‘rope’ mat. Most of the dirt shakes right out. Made of poly fiber. We picked it up in Maine.

Go to the local Goodwill/Salvation Army/Thrift store and purchase a half dozen bath towels. They always seem to have stacks of these. Fold in half and put it at entry, inside the door. Easy to shake out and wash once in a while. Soaks up water when it is raining and good place to put wet shoes. We put our towel right over the Airstream mat. You may even find some that match up with your interior colors. Works for us and is inexpensive. Even though we own an AS we are really cheapies always looking for a bargain. Happy travels.

Flip flop door mat. Available in different sizes, different prices, different places. Very light, stores easily.

Great minds think alike :-) Not fancy but easy to shake out, absorbent, and you get four sides to use as each gets dirty.
