You'll find our travel blog at: http://silvercliche.blogspot.com

and since you mentioned photography, you'll find our travel pics at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/131457232@N02/

A note to the peanut gallery... I write and post pics so friends and family can share in our travels as we move about the country. Most of the folks who follow us have never been where we go and are not likely to go there. Writing and sharing pics are also a part of the experience for me. I enjoy doing both. Plus it is more merciful than preparing an annual letter and a cheesy family picture and sending them to everyone we know in a Christmas card. I've never understood that.

I agree. Reading their blog and their books was helpful when we first starting looking at RVs, and especially later when we bought our AS and didn't know what the bleep we were doing. They have good instruction videos on things like how to back a trailer which, if you've never done it before, helps a lot.

The emphasis on "how-to" tips raises the level of this site above most of the "this is our family adventure" type blogs. Sean can be kind of corny, but I think most of their advice is right on the money.

Blogging and Safety

We share our trip photos when we're back because of security concerns. Have been thinking about doing a post trip blog, recently lots of far away relatives want to see pictures and hear about the trip. And having them someplace that's easy for family to access makes sense to us. Once I get it set up will pop you the link.

We do a lot of our travel adventures in the Airstream Hilton but not all. We publish daily during our adventures and much more sporadically in between. Highlights are East Africa (2013), Appalachian Trail (2014), 100 Day Trip to Europe (2015) and 48-state bicycle trip (2016). Enjoy!

Then leave the thread rather than parachute in and throw out your negative opinions. It's a younger couple asking for names of websites of bloggers. Not asking your opinion on blogging or whether or not you "question the idea."

Speaking of younger "bloggers," many of them do so via Instagram instead of old-fashioned blogs. Here are a few you might like to check out:

There are plenty of other nice Airstream-related Instagram feeds, but that should get the OP going.

I am older and appreciate the travel blogs etc. Just beginning to realize the bucket list. The tips are helping me plan. There are many more blogs than I had ever known. I would never do one though except pics and updates for family and friends back home. I enjoy reading others when I have time.

A current (kind of corporate) fantastic one:

The Greatest American Road Trip

They are doing all the National Park's. I hope they (NPS) or authorized vendor make a coffee table book of this blog as the Photography and Write Ups are incredible.

Only RV blog I read regularly over the years is an old cuss gate-guarding in the Eagle Ford play of South Texas:

MyOldRV

A couple years older than me and rarely fails to crack me up. May help to be a Texan and to have worked in the oil patch, I'll grant.

I had planned to blog once we started full-timing last February, but it all seems like too much work. So I use Instagram instead (https://www.instagram.com/freshairstreamer_joanne).

However, I'm an avid blog consumer and am grateful to those who share bits of their lives online for my reading pleasure. I also get a lot of good ideas of where to go and stay and what to do.

Gorgeous blog, love your writing. Do you know Breezinalong who also posted to this thread? It appears you're both into catching trout!
