Customer Advisory Council

Just curious if anyone has heard anything about the CAC? I know the members of the council were selected last year but have not anything since. Perhaps the virus had a negative effect.

Does anyone know if they are holding the meetings? There were high hopes that the CAC would be a good way of providing real world feedback, like quality concerns, to the high levels of AS management.

I've wondered about it too. There was plentry of time to get a few meetings in before the current situation as it was initiated about a year ago. Also, there is always video or phone conferences.

I'm guessing they're on an "Order Of Silence" from the Big Giant Head.

That's what I would do if I were the Ruler Of All Things Aluminum.

You know there are several threads on this? Maybe quote some of the posters there for updates.

https://www.google.com/search?q=cust...=airforums.com

https://www.airforums.com/forums/f48...ed-201467.html
https://www.airforums.com/forums/f48...ed-193040.html
https://www.airforums.com/forums/f48...rd-192917.html

I believe that some members of the council are active participants here, so quoting them in those threads, and asking for updates, seems appropriate IMO.

Happy Trails,

Peter

They are working hard. I know there have been several meetings and Airstream is listening to there input.
Change is coming.

. . . fine if they're paying a brand new kind of attention to quality control and detail.

Speaking of which -- " . . . there . . . their . . . they're . . . "

You might want to get Airstream to reply to trailerpup's problems with a certain dealer.

A "5 Rivet" dealer per Airstream?

Thanks,

Peter

I'm now very disappointed in myself that, in the end, I put my trust in Airstream.

Why does Airstream rate them as a 5 Rivet Dealer?

It's apparent to me now that Airstream doesn't really give a rip about anything except moving units out the door. I've read it here time and again, but now I personally believe it. Sad.

I am keenly aware that this is a first-world problem and I also accept the fact that I screwed up big time.

Thanks for all the help!

Skepticism is well earned here after all the complaints about quality for many, many years. About a decade ago the president of Airstream started a thread mainly focused on corrosion, but also other items, apparently to show he cared. He appeared to be astounded at the outpouring of negative comments about Airstreams. Eventually the thread was disappeared. So those who have had problems with their “premium” trailers are understandingly skeptical. “Fool me once....”. Isn’t corrosion still a problem?
