Just wandering if the state parks and campgrounds are busy or
near empty across the US. What have fellow airstreamers noticed ?

With the covid-19 we have been home....getting cabin fever.
catching up on a/s duties

Illinois to Iowa to Nebraska to South Dakota over the last couple of weeks.

Campgrounds are full, plenty of RV’s of all sizes on the road.

NC State Parks similar. Was at NC Hanging Rock State Park (NW of Winston-Salen) week before last from Sunday to Thursday (wanted to depart before the Friday, day before July 4, traffic kicked in). When I booked, there were just a few sights showing available. But when I got there many sites had reserved flags up, but all week they were empty. Visitor Center closed due to Covid, mountain hiking trails had some trees down across trail that appeared to have been dead for several months. State employees getting nice paid vacations. I think they were “reserving” some sites just to keep numbers of people to a minimum. Have spend several house today looking at some near-coast State Park campgrounds in Florida, SC, NC. Trying to look for something for 5 days during next couple weeks. Not easy to find that. Ony couple less than ideal parks have sites available. Perhaps other states are blocking off sites to enforce “social distancing”.
