Works well for me, HDMI plugs into back of TV, power cord into power strip next to TV, I also used a black wire wrap on the wires to give s clean look.
We modified the outlet next to our television to make it a "two hole" (separate thread) and attached an Apple TV to the back of the television. Used it for past two years. Just switched to Roku as it seems, at least for us, to give us more content options. Both devices work great plugged into the HDMI outlet on the back of the television.
We use one Apple TV and share it between both Samsung sets using an HDMI switch. I replaced the OEM HDMI splitter, located in the DVD enclosure, with this 4x2 HDMI switch and I attached the Apple TV to the wall next to the DVD player. We can send the Apple TV and/or the DVD output to either or both TVs. Works great.
I just installed one in our 27’ Globetrotter (last photo) I removed it from our FC23FB before trading it in. I found a simple mount on Amazon and a Hide-a-Plug to split the power. Works like a champ!
