Apologies to the nice Airstream couple in Clermont Fl the other
After 2 great weeks at Topsail St Park in Florida, we headed home last Friday. The drive and weather were great until we got on the Turnpike from I-75. We went thru a horrific storm only to get stuck in a 2 hour traffic jam. 9 hours of what should have been a 7 hour ride was bad, but we were in desperate need of a bio break with no good alternative till we hit the SR 50 exit in Clermont. We found a racetrack gas station and pulled off. We quickly cycled thru the bathroom in the trailer while also walking our 3 dogs. Just as it was my turn to get to the bathroom, I saw a couple had pulled their truck in front of ours. The were complimenting our Globetrotter and stated taking about the 3 Airstreams they had. All apparent restorations. I did my best to continue the conversation, but my bladder said “that’s it” and I had to cut the convo short. We were tired and needed to get that last 40 minute drive done to call it a long day.
They seemed like nice folks and I wished I’d gotten some contact info because it seems like they’ve done some nice restoration work on some older canned hams. If you see this post, please reach out. We’d like to talk more about your adventures.
