Airstreamers do you use a Mac or PC?

I was just curious as there seems to be so many artsy people owning AS What is the Favorite computer of the AS crowd. This is not to debate the merits of PC over Mac,or vise versa, but was for my own sick curiosity, (and maybe others) and thought it might be fun for people...

Problem is I have both... I surf the net on my MacBook and do most things with it... IT's the one that comes on our trips in the AS...

I have a Media PC for the tv and one to work on via the office...

I need to get a Macbook pro so the Aluminum case with match my AS. Wonder if Mac would build on with panels.....

Hmmmm. I take issue with the first statement. Many of us are less than Artsy.

. . . and some of us are more than a little argumentative.

That's not the question>>>>>> Yes I would be one that is not so artsy, but there seem to be many who are. Just looking for a general usage of our computers. Small arguments ok, NO BIG ONES>>>

I'm a PC guy. I tried my friends MAC one time. I guess I'm a one trick pony.

I use a PC. Autocad only operates on Windows, so up until recently, Apple computers were out of the question. Now that Apple operates on their own OS as well as Windows, I'm tempted to choos a Macbook Pro for my next machine to see how it compares.

My husband and I are both anything but "artsy".....best described as "analyticals." First, I switched (almost two years ago), and he switched about 7 months ago....to MacBookPro's. We still have an old HP pavilion that has been gutted and updated, just to run my old Canon flatbed scanner and my Family Treemaker genealogy software. If Family Treemaker ever produces a Mac version, the PC would be out the door!

And.....yes.....you gotta have the MBP, with that beautiful aluminum case, to match your Airstream!

I believe they do make Autocad for the mac now.. But $$$$

I run Autocad in windows on my macbook and it's fine.. Kind of weird running windows on a mac....

Kinda funny how once folks switch over to "the Mac side," they don't go back.... The MacBookPro (MBP) is my first, and I am lovin' it!

Splain Lucy

Hi, a few of us are not from the computer generation. I sold Mac tools for eight years and used them too. Is that what you mean by Mac?

Mac is an Apple product and PC means Personal Computer; So if the Mac belongs to you personally, not the company you work for, then that would make it your Personal Computer, right? Is this like, "I own an Airstream" and everything else is an SOB? But in reality they are all still travel trailers and pretty much do the same thing?

Splain Lucy? Ed-ju-mi-kate mee pleeze!

That sounds like a way to ruin a perfectly good Mac!

I have a four or five year old Dell laptop with XP which is still doing the trick for me. But I refuse to move on to Vista, windows already tries to do too much stuff I don't ask it to do, and I know Vista is even worse, so when the time comes to upgrade I might have to take a serious look at Macs. Or perhaps an alternative OS.
