Airstream Coffee!

Couple of years ago I said a $100 bucket from Airstream Supply was obscene. People informed me that for some this was an excellent value proposition. Thus I would like to share the $18.00 Airstream Coffee. Yes if you really want the Airstream experience what could be better after paying $100,000 for a 25’ aluminum can and then sipping Airstream Coffee by the highway. Oh yes the rich aromatic flavor of Airstream Coffee, what a delight.

Looked like a good deal for 2 x 12oz bags, however it’s actually $18 for one bag. Oof. Googled this company, apparently they specialize in selling camping coffee in tea bags and their whole bean offering is “sold out,” so if you’re a fan this may be the only option…

This should be a fun thread...... We use Lavazza whole bean Gold ground each day in a Haro grinder then in our Roc espresso and foaming pitcher on the road. A grinder and Salvatorre 15 bar espresso at the house.
I give them credit, but no thank you for their effort.
Guessing the coffee thread could be as good as tow vehicle or hitch.
Commercial here, no financial connection but a supplier in Henrietta NY has seemed to always have good prices. Whole Latte Love.

Kona coffee shipped from the Big Island. Stainless steel French press. Grind the beans right before pouring in hot water. The freshness of ground coffee is measured in seconds (or minutes), not months.

Telluride Coffee Roasters (formerly The Steaming Bean) located on Society Hill Dr in Telluride. Black Magic and Avalanche my favorite roasts. First tasted their coffee in a fantastic little bakery, Slice of Life, in Palisades, CO. Best flavor, next to Lavazza Perfetto.

I bet that is amazing. Fresh Kona and fresh Blue Mountain are the best I've ever had.

This is the best...

...if you are a whole beaner like us, you will not find a better container to keep the beans ready for the grinder.

PS...all the stuff we've bought from the store has been top notch.

Sip happy...my Blue Mountain is is ready.

Mt. Hood Roasters. Shipped to the door on non skiing weekends and picked up on skiing weekends.

https://mthoodroasters.com

Best coffee I have ever found. Trillium is our blend/roast.

It is all about the grind. Burr grinder for home and still need an Airstream option. Probably going to ask for a manual burr grinder for Father’s Day.

Just sayin’

One cup (and only in the morning) of decaf, already ground, brand doesn’t matter. Just like the taste of coffee, don’t need the “buzz” of caffeine.

Doctor told me to stop using caffeine in 1980’s due to gastro issues and it worked. Spouse was told 3 years ago to stop drinking caffeine by Urologist.

Now we are totally decaffeinated, including sodas.

I guess you can tell we’re not coffee connoisseurs?! But, appreciate the feedback from those that are, interesting read…

This forum, which I participate in regularly, clearly shows that as Airstream owners we have quite a few “first world problems”. Paying my own way through college in the 1960’s I was a barista long before Starbucks even had its first store. I love and enjoy my coffee. That said, this thread is definitely the foam on our collection of Airstream experiences.

While most (eventually all) of us do have meaningful challenges in our lives this thread reminds me how fortunate I am and have been. I’ll sip any coffee style or brand to that!

My first world coffee starts with green (unroasted) beans purchased from Sweet Maria’s. After roasting at home, we take along the fresh beans. We take our burr grinder, dr Hetzner kettle and stainless French press. We have a couple of manual grinders but the wife prefers to pack the burr grinder. Always a new adventure.

After 25 years of Navy coffee followed by 10 years of 'Midnight Blend' railroad coffee, I can drink almost anything.
That being said, The Folgers 1/2 Decaf in the red plastic can suits me just fine.
