What type Aluminum?

We are working our way through our 66 Safari, Did brakes , some plumbing and a little electrical today. I need to make some new compartment doors, and a vent cover for the heater... What I need to know is what type aluminum and thickness will match the skins that are on it now ( original)? Also any recommendations on where to purchase said metal.

Thanks for any help,
Barry & Karen in Mich.

All the exterior doors are already made and available for the later 60's trailers, such as yours.

2024 T3 is not what you want. It is too brittle to bend 90 degrees and will snap. You want 2024 T0(zero). It will bend much better. Pay for the protective film, it is worth the extra money. It is .032 for original skin thickness, but .025 will be plenty thick. AirParts Inc has what you need.
Air, 32mm is 1 1/4"
