Water Heater cover?

I am looking for a water heater door for the exterior of my '85 Airstream Sovereign, any ideas, is there a good junk yard or can I order it new?

I ordered a new one for my '86 from Inland, I think. If not there, it was Vintage Trailer Supply.

They are mostly standard Bowens or Atwood doors. You should be able to get one from Atwood.

I have one

I have the one I took off my '87 34 foot Avion with an Atwood 6 gallon LP only water heater. It should be the same one that Airstream used. It's all aluminum. There's not a thing wrong with it. It won't, however, fit on the new Atwood dual fuel water heater I replaced the original with. Atwood apparently changed the size of the exhaust vent ever so slightly, but it's enough that the original aluminum one won't work.

I got high temperature engine paint in silver and painted the new one that they sent me. It matches perfectly. But I still have the original in very good shape.

PM me if you'd like to buy my other one. I was hanging onto it...but I really can't use it. I'd rather see it on another silver trailer than end up in the land fill.

take care,

I also have one I took off a new Atwood i just put in. A 6 gallon heater. It is white but could be striped or painted. I was able to retrofit the original cover...

PM me and I can get measurements if your interested. I only would want the cost of shipping it.
