Replacement locks for storage compartments on 76 Overlander?

Acquired a 76 Overlander with no keys. All the compartments are locked. What's the best way to go about opening these up and where can I find compatible replacements? I don't see anything on vintagetrailersupply.com that appears to be compatible. :/

Thanks!

If you cant get to the other side of the lock, then I've always die grinded out the locking barrell.
On a T handle lock, you could cut each side of the locking barrel with an angle grinder until the T handles came off and then drill out the screws.

Thank you! It’s a shame that just the barrel can’t be replaced though. Doh!

I bought keys for those locks from Out of Doors Mart. I have the same year and was told the key was the same for all Airstreams that year. I don’t know if that was true but the key worked.

That would be amazing if I could just buy one. You recall which one you bought?

I would never cut locks as keys are avble. In 1976 all compartment keys same only dif. is water fill and door. I think AS used same keys other yrs. in 70s as a person forgot his keys and only had door borrowed mine, dif. yr. but opened all compartment doors. this persons AS might have been 80s. If no some one that you can borrow from then have made but have to have lock smith do as most don't have blanks. Blanks are avble. from several vendors on internet, but I would use ODM for key as lots less money to buy than have made from scratch. Just googled ODM compartment key fits up to 70s 1996 cost $3.95

Phone Out Of Doors mart ask for parts, tell them what locks you need keys for. Like I posted before lots less money than trying to duplicate.

I Have a 1970 the key is #1101X for the access doors. The list I have shows it fits 1970 thru 1978. I bought mine from Out Of Doors Mart. 1-866-636-2267.

Does anyone have the exterior compartment key for a 1965 Tradewind 24? That would be wonderful if it was the same for all trailers each year! PM me and I'll be happy to pay for time to make a copy and shipping.

thanks for sharing this info. Reached out via email asking about the missing keys for my 1977 sovereign and they replied within 30 minutes for links to keys for the battery box, access panels, and water inlet. ordered all three. here is hoping they weren't replaced along the life of this trailer
