pipe running length of trailer outside belly skin??

When looking under my trailer last night, I realized that there is a 3 inch in diameter, 12 foot long aluminum tube that has end caps on it, nothing in it and it is attached to the belly skin. Does anyone know what this is and/or what it is for? My guess was that you were suposed to roll up your awning and stick it in there for travel. Has anyone else found this under their older trailer?

Yep it's for the awning or it may have been used for the stinky slinky.
Love to see a picture of it. Our didn't have that. I plan to add one for the Slinky and I may have an awning made so would possibly need one for the poles.

Welcome Bailey 56,

Have you been to the A/S dealer in Fredricksburg VA?
Haven't hear from any fellow VA members yet.. We were looking at used A/S but felt that we didn't have the time to fix up so we are looking at new.
