Outside Fridge Compartment Door Lock

I have no keys for any of my compartment doors, so I drilled out the tumbler to replace lock on fridge door. Is the barell of lock (not sure if this is correct word) meant to come out also. If so, how? I have tried to get it out but without a big hammer, I don't think it will move.

I have read lots of threads about locks but can't find this issue.

Interestingly cryptic. I'd be curious to find out as well. We just bought ours, and have no keys for the battery compartments.

Try the infamous “751 key”. The most common key number on the planet. A quick search with google, and there you go. No mystery, sorry.

(And no real security, either. It’s a common key in the RV industry. If you are real paranoid, unlock, then change out the locks to something more secure. )

To possibly unlock the drilled out one, make sure the cylinder is well and truly gone, then use a flashlight and a flat-blade screwdriver to unlock by turning the remaining guts of the lock. They are not real solid locks...really just to keep door from falling open.
