Let's Play: "Can You Name That Opening " !!

When I purchased my 1963 Bambi, it was gutted. So not sure what appliances were where, nor what was original and what was added after-the-fact. (except that the furnace was removed early in its life).

At this point getting the exterior sealed up, before moving to the interior. Tough to see clearly in the photo, but there is a gas line across the cover on the inside. Can anybody tell me what this covering is for? Was it original to the 1963 Bambi? I could be mistaken, but does not look to be alclad, can it be cleaned and polished like the rest of the skin ?

Thanks
Got some time, I think I need to look into my options. Not keen on an ending where the rest of the trailer is polished to a mirror.
