I bought a key from ODM that fits my battery and refrigerator door locks. The fill door for my fresh water is another story.

I bought a key from Out-of-Doors Mart and it fit my 1971 water fill door just fine.

keys
Any other Airstreamers in your area? We have found our keys on the Argosy Minuet to be sort of generic....other Airstreamers have keys that may fit and work your locks. Maybe somebody else local can come to your rescue.

When I bought my AS a few months ago, the PO couldn't find any of the keys. For the outside compartments, on a whim, I tried my friend's keys for his Coachmen travel trailer and they worked...I think the locks are fairly generic...

Our main door key fits some of the outside hatches, although I can't remember which ones at the moment, though.
Have you tried it, by any chance?

Keys et all
I got about 6 keys and by the time I go around the ring I don't know what fits what and if there's any spares.
Go to the vintage rally and we can make it into an event. Offer a prize for who ever has a key that fits

I guess there not any of us older members left on the forums who will respond to this question anymore. Per Wally Byam's order following his experiences on the many Caravans of the 50's and 60's, all outside comartment keys on all Vintage trailers are keyed alike. Borrow a set from someone else and have new ones made.

Hey....its "Old Timer" Gayland.
Yep, Gayland is right....as always. Old Airstreams, John Deere tractors and old Bonanza airplanes all had keyed alike locks. One fits all.

72 Tradewind Keys
I got a key for the door, a key for the fridge panel, a key for the fresh water door, I think another one for the battery compartment. Plus the masterlock on the hitch, and now the lock on the hitch cover. If I ever loose them I'll have to take out a bank loan to get them replaced.

I just bought a 20ft 1972 that the PO's PO lost the keys on 20 some years ago I'm lucky the front door was unlocked but all the access doors are locked and I'm hoping to get all the gas lines pressure checked and appliances checked out at my local shop so I can do some fall camping here in the mitten. Either way thanks for the list.

Looking for a 166 key in Columbus, OH
Very helpful thread! Thanks to everyone for the great info.
Based on 'The Chart' I see my 65 Overlander needs a '166' key for the access and trunk doors. According to the chart this key was used late 63-66
Having a heck of a time locating one - Neither Out Of Doors or Vintage Trailer Supply have key's.
Any other online source you can recommend? Alternately is anyone out there willing to sell me a copy? Please PM if you can help.
Happy to pay for your time, materials and postage.
Thanks,
-paul
