Hardware for water heater door

Hi everyone!
We have a 1977 Safari that we purchased restored. We are learning the ropes to maintaining a vintage trailer (more in our wheel house than a full restoration)

Our water heater door has fallen off and I cannot see anyway to reattach it. Everywhere I’ve searched online can provide a new door but you have to “reuse existing hardware.” I cannot see on our compartment where the door would even attach. The door looks like there would have been a pin possibly, but the compartment or exterior has no hinge, just a cam-lock. Other than the cam-lock there is virtually no hardware.

Can anyone tell me how this door is suppose to attach please?

Our door is hinged upon two “L”-shaped pins held to the main framework each by a sheet-metal “clamp”.

I see no reason a common piano-hinge could not also be used.

I have to ask: Is the photo you posted belong to your "restored" Airstream?

That hinge kit does look to be correct - the silver bent pins are what act as the hinge. Looks like the clips that hold the hinge pins to the housing are still on yours to give you an idea of where they should be mounted. Here's a photo of mine if you need to see how they go together.

I was wondering how they attached but hoped it would be more clear when then kit arrived. I appreciate the photo! It’s cool to see how the water tank looks in them. Ours was removed and a new tank added inside instead so we use this compartment for wheel chock storage during travel
