BigSxySlvrThng...

But seriously, the name is for you and not necessarily other people. It should mean something to you as this is such an accomplishment that most people don’t experience in their life time.

We had a wonderful pup at the time that we named Nahla. We found her near a river as a stray dog and we thought a name having to do with water was fitting. Nahla means a drop of water.

Nahla happens to be a character in a Disney movie. My wife’s name is Ursulla, also a Disney character. We decided to name our truck and AS after a couple other Disney characters, Timon and Pumbaa. Timon being the smaller of the two, our truck. Pumbaa, the big smelly warthog, is our AS.

It’s our story and we love them, even claiming the vanity plates in FL. Florida is one of those states where the plates come with you if we ever change AS or truck. They don’t stay with the vehicle when you sell.

The reason why I share this is just an example. Those names may not mean anything to anyone else but it will always remind us of that time in our lives, our pup, and makes for a fun story.

Best of luck in your decision, can’t wait to hear your story!

Don't be in a hurry to name it. Names should reflect some characteristic, whether related to appearance, behavior, or some quirk that catches your attention. And it should be personal and mean something to y'all.

My 23FC is currently referred to as the RBC, AKA Rolling Beer Can. Subject to change without notice as a more suitable moniker shows up. As you know, my wife and I are signers, and "RBC" is ridiculously easy to fingerspell, so RBC is probably going to become permanent.

Our's is named Trilla. Trilla is my nickname (very long story) given to me by my husband's friend years ago. For some reason it has stuck with me.

We named our International 25 CCD "Blue Streak" in honor of the name of the interior - that is, it came with the "Blue Streak interior colors"

BigSxySlvrThng, what a great story. Thank you all for sharing each of your own. We love hearing them especially as we await our Bambi16RB. Discovering the right name is such a wonderful process.

Stay tuned,

Lisa & Peter

I love your names! We are huge disney fans and this is very creative and personal!

We just bought an AS also and are having trouble coming up with a name. One idea we are toying with is using words like vacation or camping in another language, for instance German because my husband is 100% German or Hawaiian because we own Disney timeshare in Hawaii and love going there. Just an idea to consider.

Agree with posts. Name should mean something to you. We named ours Whistler. Simply because that’s where we went for our honeymoon and started talking about getting an airstream.

I agree with the others, that the name should reflect your own story or some characteristic of your new baby.
We considered “Colibri”, Spanish and many other languages for hummingbird, for our former Bambi 22’, because it was flashy and light. (My wife loves watching those birds around the feeders.)
Now that we have progressed to a comparative Behemoth, we have no claim to that name.
Take your time and think small. That is a big part of the head turning appeal of your trailer.
Congratulations on your find!

Our official certificate and badge took only 4 weeks - surprising as we were informed that it could take longer due to limited staffing on hand. I sent in our registration on July 1, and received everything by the 5th of August.

There are so many great names in this thread!

My wife and I had been dreaming about owning an Airstream for 10 years before finally being in a position to buy one in 2015. We had named our baby the Dreamliner many years before purchasing it and long before Boeing developed their 787 and hijacked our name. (Sorry, that's an inappropriate pun for an airliner!)

Anyway, we registered the name with Airstream and even got the vanity plate DRMLINR. It's fun, reminds us of those many years spent pining for an Airstream, and is a good conversation starter when we're on the road.

Happy naming,
Mike and Marla
