The newest one arrived yesterday and I must say it was very enjoyable. It gave me some ideas and had some good advertising too (a place to buy sheets!!). I'll hang on to it and build up a collection of sorts.

thumbs down... don't waste your money.

huh? are you sure you mean Airstream Life and not some other magazine? granted, ALL magazines tend to skew editorial toward advertising, but for the life of me (no pun) I can't see anything THAT objectionable in it. there's not a whole lot of Airstream pubs out there so I'm glad we have at least ONE. even when they do articles on non-AS writers, like in the current issue, they're still quite informative. and they're constantly trying to upgrade quality of photos (you'll see what I mean in a couple months, hint) and writing. the mag is only a few years old and all pubs grow and mature and (usually) improve and I believe AS Life is no exception.

I have downloaded a few nice articles from the Vintage AS site, but I can't tell if that publication still exists and since it would require joining BOTH the WBCCI and the VAC I'm not quite ready to take that leap yet. maybe one day...

as far as general magazines go, I keep an annual subscription to the pinko-liberal-commie New Yorker ;-) because it's the only U.S. magazine that I consider to be LITERATE in the quality of its writing, even if Conde Nast is busy destroying my industry (editorial photography) with its obnoxious and egregious freelance contributor contracts. I have a bunch of back issues if anybody wants them btw... happy reading!

fotochop,

The Vintage Advantage still exists and a new issue will be in the mail within the next two weeks. Contact the Subscription Manager, Daisy Welch, info on the contact section of the VAC site, and you can receive the VA without joining the Club.

As you can see from my signature, I am a member of WBCCI, VAC, CAC and my local unit and very happy. If you were closer, I would invite you to a rally.

Bill

Gotta agree with Airstream Life! But would recommend "Texas Highways" instead...

I just took out a new subscription to Trailer Life on eBay. $7.54 for 2 years including shipping!!! Not a bad deal.
