Winter Battery Charging

I'm a new owner with my 30 FC twin located in southeast Michigan, north of Detroit. I won't retire until 12/31 and hoping for a maiden voyage south in January.
I'm loading up the unit in evenings and on weekends hooked to a generator so that I can run the furnace.
I would like to take the batteries out, putting them in a 65 degree room with nice trickle chargers that will go to float mode. Have those already.
Trailer is too far from electric source to leave the batteries in and put the chargers on the trailers, but could manage to do that if absolutely necessary.
Can I run the generators for furnace and lights when working in the unit on evenings and weekends if I have taken the batteries out of the trailer?
If yes, what's the best process to be sure I am not damaging converter, inverter or anything else?

Leave 'em in the trailer. It sounds like you are going to visit it often and run the generator. That will charge them. Do you take the batteries out of your car? Do you think farmers take the batteries out of all their equipment in the winter? Do you think the Coast guard takes the batteries out of the markers in the winter? I've left my Forester in Indiana all winter once and it cranked/started on the first try. We never took the batteries out of equipment when I lived up there.

Your batteries will be fine if they have a charge on them. I hope your trip south isn't the first time you've had it out. Or the first time you've towed it.

...yes you can run the DC without the batteries installed...just make sure you isolate the cable ends.👍

I did it for years...'til I got lazy/old and just disconnected them.😉

Thanks for the practical recommendations. I have a similar issue, leaving the batteries (2) hooked up over 4 winter months down in Dallas while in storage. I’d like to put a charger on the next two days to to top them up but not sure how to connect charger so both batteries charge evenly. Any advice

Is the trailer at home/convenient?

With the AGM's
I checked regularly, if below 12.2v, plug in and let the converter do the job. Un-plug and repeat if needed. 👍

I have also charged thru the 7pin with an adaptor plugged into a battery tender.

Stock batteries in one box?
Attach charger...pos on one battery, negative on the other.

With the new lithiums I can ck from the recliner in the living room.
