You can open the rear part "only" of the front and rear vent.
That provides fresh air, and, keeps the inside temperature cooler.
When the trailer is not in motion, the inside temperature will rapidly increase, just as it does in your tow vehicle.
Leaving a window partly cracked, in your case, is not a good idea. Should a good gust of wind hit that window, it would be possible to shatter that glass.
Remember, if your going 60 and a truck is coming at you at 60, then the instant wind speed becomes 120 MPH. Far more than enough to raise devil with an open window, even a partially open window.
Just remember to take the dog out of the trailer as soon as you stop.
