I just got an email solicitation to sign up and I did, thinking it was someone from here.

However the web site looks like the now-defunct wbcci website, and the most recent poster was cortes.

I unsubscribed.

Yea, who would have seen that coming?!? And now that he has complete control of HIS forums without the pesky WBCCI telling him what to do, he as put the Miserable Users back on to not only myself, but a bunch of other people as well.

Um, well actually, the Miserable Users hack that is being used on that site is exceedingly simple to bypass. Any kind of proxy server such as TOR will quickly and easily bypass that script. I have looked on the site and it appears that the only stuff there is the past posts and events when the club was involved.
To me, this situation exemplifies just why the club had to back out of the partnership and those forums. In the end, while it was not good for the club to lose that asset, it was really in the club's best interest.

Is WBCCI ever going to open an official forum website so we members have a HOME??

Don't get me wrong on this because I love Airforums. I have gained great knowledge and friendships since joining last year.

Will the agenda (including motions to be presented) be circulated to the membership before the meeting? Last year some Region Presidents passed the information on and it had fairly wide distribution in time for members to present some feed-back to their reps. Also, will the meeting be audio streamed as in the past?

I wonder why this vintage-airstream site can use the airstream name, but the airforums had to change their name due to copyright issues.
Maybe airforums can now change back to airstreamforums.

I just reiterated to them that I no longer am a user, and no longer want to receive their emails either.

Let's hope that does it.

Yea - good luck! The owner of those forums is using the mailing list given to him by WBCCI to populate his forums to now send out messages to WBCCI members. I am betting that the person who owns those forums is no longer even a member of WBCCI - an issue that befell him when he first presented the forums to the club.
No - I would expect to continue to get email messages from him. I can say that the good thing about being on his Miserable Users block on his site - I just am not on his Christmas List! Yea!!!

Regardless of all the other garbage, fortunately it appears getting removed from the list is rather simple, with an unsubscribe and a do not contact link at the bottom of the email. Was a quick one, now we'll see if we still get stuff from them.

I did this a couple of months ago and still got the Christmas message. Also, ultimately the info is coming from AS. I reported change of owner info to AS on my used unit when I became aware of the Actibrake recall. I then received WBCCI information (presumably because AS informed them of new owner info)....THEN I got these "invites".

I laugh because the 2006 Bambi is still listed for sale on their site. I bought it in January. If anyone wants to pay me 32,500 I might think about it.
