Where to go for Thanksgiving dinner?

I'm looking for suggestions for a good place to stop for Thanksgiving dinner in Western PA or Eastern OH. We are taking the trailer out to Jackson Center over the holiday to have the street-side panel replaced. We will be traveling very light (i.e., no cooking in the trailer) as we need to leave the trailer at A/S over the winter. We will arrive in Western PA or Eastern OH on Thanksgiving morning. Any suggestions?

I would suggest "The Old Tavern" in Unionville, Ohio. It is an historic old restaurant. In fact the first job I ever had was washing dishes there. You can get there from the RT534 exit on I90. Their phone number is 440-428-2091. I am pretty sure they serve on Thanksgiving day. I am assuming you are traveling down I90. If you are driving I-80, or I-76 let me know, I have a friend who knows that cooridor well.

If you are going down I90 and need a safe sleepover stop, I have place here with a 30 amp outlet, just 2 miles off of the I90-RT44 exit.

Yukionna, Happy Thanksgiving wherever you are

What a difference a year makes. Last year we spent Thanksgiving in Washington, DC having dinner in a fine restaurant on the banks of the Potomac overlooking the Kennedy Center with our three grown children, son-inlaw, daughter-in-law and sister-in-law--none from the Washington, DC area. On that special occassion we learned of the news of our first pending grandchild (now Genevieve). It couldn't get any better than that.

This year, our daughter, son-in-law, and Genevieve are on the road traveling from Pittsburgh to their new home in Orlando. Our son and daughter-in-law are in Massachusetts visiting her parents. Our sister-in-law is meeting her daughter from Anchorage halfway in Seattle. Our second daughter has a new boyfriend and spending Thanksgiving with his family. Getting serious?

And my wife must work this day this year as a home care nurse. Two Cornish game hens await us later today. We have a lot to be thankful for.

Thanks!

Unfortunately (for my hubby), my business plans changed and I had to stay in New England for Thanksgiving so he ended up taking the trailer to the factory by himself. He didn't leave until very late Wednesday evening so pushed it through the night through Pennsylvania on Rte 80 (the most direct route). He made it to Jackson Center by late afternoon on Thanksgiving day. He spent Thanksgiving in the trailer cooking a turkey frozen dinner in the microwave and watching the Matrix DVD on his laptop. On Friday, he is driving the 5 hours to Chicago for his week-long business trip.

He said it was like a ghost town at the factory -- the whole parking lot was full of trailers and all the camping pods, except for two, were taken by trailers left for factory work. I guess the factory does a brisk repair business over the winter months.
