We keep our 30’ Classic in our heated attached garage, plugged into 110 with water and sewer available... only sees daylight when we travel. I built the house with the Airstream in mind and have a hitch receiver on the front of my truck to make parking easier.

I pay $250/mo. for inside storage with 30amp service. This facility also has a dump station and water.

My favorite topic happens to be Airstream Parking.

I live in West Los Angeles where lot sizes are small. At least for now, I don't have the luxury of a separate and tall garage or using a warehouse owned by my company. Although, I admit if those were options to me I would of done either of them in a flash instead of what happened to me here.

I really didn't want to leave my Airstream in a storage lot. I wanted to look at it as a piece of art out the window, or at least a nice reminder of a milestone accomplished. What I didn't want to do was pay ridiculous amounts of money to a guy with some property who doesn't really care about anyone else's.

... so one thing leads to the other (as it usually does with me) and what started as a simple project became the entire basis of my online identity for all things Airstream.

What started as a FENCE became a GATE which inspired a return to drought-tolerant landscaping project (aka the hidden DRIVEWAY) ending the PARKING SPACE with a 50amp service, available water, and even a not exactly perfectly installed clean-out all covered by 1 or more security cameras.

I am still trying to decide if I want to partially cover the Aistream or not. I have solar. I can leave mine plugged in, of course, but it's often not necessary.

I would rather have the cover as a roof over Airstream than to leave it out in open to allow the sun to do damage on Airstream roof. you have the 50 AMP plugged in anyway.

I think that uncovered storage in LA isn't a problem. Our 2002 has been stored uncovered since new. The white paint on the roof oxidizes, but has never failed in any way nor has the clear coat on the rest of the trailer.

Occasional washing to remove redwood needles and pine pollen does help. Sun exposure has made it necessary to replace the air-conditioner shroud twice and a vent cover once. A Fantastic Fan cover has held up amazingly well.

I would like to have the roof as preventive maintenance. I park mine at a storage in a beach town where I work not in a desert where I live. It is much cooler at the beach but far enough away from salty spray from waves.

In the process of building a new house with an attached RV garage; heated, dump station, 50 AMP connection, and water. Before then had a pole barn.

We just had a carport attached to our garage, added a 50 amp to keep the ac going (set at 80 F). The wife loves having the AS at the house to take regular afternoon naps. We were amazed by how many neighbors were so curious to see the inside of our AS!

As we live in a HOA with restrictions we park our's in a storage facility, however, about a week or two before a trip I bring it home and park in the driveway.

My HOA is pretty lenient. The workshop was originally built to fit a 19' Bambi. The IS 19 fits with a few inches of headroom to spare. The RV port was built for a previous 39 ft Class A. Both have 30/50 amp outlets. The 19 looks kinda silly parked there when I use the workshop to do things my wife says i bought all the tools to do. I was glad I had indoor storage for our recent Texas winter catastrophe.

We live on the Alabama Gulf Coast where we have too many trees to worry about leaf debris and damage from falling limbs, especially when strong storms or hurricanes roll through. Our solution is to park it in an enclosed storage facility which is attached to the IT office where I work. SO, my 1995 Excella 25T is about 60 feet from me, and I can check on it whenever I want or even go out to decompress and listen to some music while I work on my laptop while connected to the office WiFi. Going rate in our area is >$300 for enclosed storage to more than $1200/mo. the closer you get to the beaches and resorts less than 6 miles away. Since we already rent office space, our building owner cuts me a deal at $250/mo. with 15A power and exterior camera security.
