I agree, they need our help folks, and don't let the legalese stop you. I sent PayPal before I checked the fine print. My concern was dumping fees in Terry's lap along with the goodwill. I just want him to receive ALL the help we send with no hassle.
Let's fill up Terry and Marie's house with so much goodness that they will be overwhelmed.

Welcome back Terry, and glad you're feeling better (from low starting point...) Strange to think posts while heavily medicated with controllled substances make almost as much sense as posts left earlier when completely unmedicated.. Good to get past milestone as well...
Hope the "Non Weight Bearing" recovery thing goes by fast, and no further complications... We will be waiting for further good news updates..

I totally get the "brqin," which I believe to be the most cleverest-ever shorthand way to reference that "broken brain" syndrome from which we all occasionally suffer, but I WILL demand a translation of "he=oughs" one of these days ...

Hi all,
I took the laptop to the hospital for Terry to read some of the wonderful things written to him, and the next thing I know he is toe typing or that's what it looked like. He wanted to say thank you and he's missed being on line. It was his first time out of bed since Thursday. He was very dizzy but thrilled to be up. He is doing so well, I know it is from all of the people praying for and sending good thoughts our way.
I know I'm not on the payroll for the hospital but I feel I need to help him, and besides Nurses can't sit still, or at least this one cannot.
I will take the laptop up tomorrow and if he is up to it, he can be on line.
I moved to a hotel closer to the hospital that has a shuttle bus because the tolls, and parking garage fees were killing me. I feel safer not having to drive through some bad parts of Tampa.
Well, I'm tired and am going to bed. God bless all of you for your support and prayers.
Marie

Shari,
Terry had signed on in the hospital and I forgot to log him off and log me in. He really was on in his name to write what he did, obviously.
I am getting ready to go up to the hospital and help him get ready for the day. I cannot begin to thank the kind and wonderful people on the forum. I hope and pray each and every one of you recieves the blessings God can bestow on you.
Keep the shinny side up
Marie

We're rooting for you!
Marie, great news so far. We're with you in spirit if not in the flesh.
Please don't forget to take care of yourself. You'll be even more needed later in the recovery process when physical therapy starts. Make sure you remember to take care of your own health and serenity so that you have something left for later on. If friends, relatives, neighbors offer their help - accept it - just so you get some respite.
If you like Starbucks, let me know I'll mail you a gift card...

Paula and Shari,
There is a starbucks in the hospital and I was there 2 times today for the white chocolate mocha coffe. I am addicted to it. I have been accepting offers of help because I get yelled at by family and friends if I don't. My sister is at the house right now with the adjuster to take pictures of the x scooter.
Terry was able to take 2 little baby steps today and did the exercises with therapy. No way can he go home Friday according to the therapist. I work 1 to 11pm Monday through Thursday, and there is no way he can be alone for a few days. Screw the job!!!!! I am a nurse and can always get another one, He's more important to me. But I do need him to be able to get from the living room to the bathroom and into bed at night. But I am so happy and thank God every day that he is alive and on the mend, and that we have wonderful friends both on and off the forum.
My love to all
Marie

Marie, I do understand. Even though I tell you "let them do it", I feel and do the same. Good nurses are that way. No one can take of the one you love better than you. I'm glad you letting helpful folks pick up the slack for you elsewhere.
As far as your 'paid' nursing job, you're right, screw the job. Terry is much more important and many facilities are begging for good nurses now. But you shouldn't lose your job. The words " Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993" should mean something to them.
