Not familiar with this one, but it looks nice albeit a bit bulky. I'm assuming the actual pit - not just the portable post/rack. The stainless option sure would be a nice combo with your Airstream!

I sat around one this past weekend at a friend's house. VERY impressive heat generation for the size, very little smoke (clothes didn't even smell the next day).
I haven't sat next to a solo stove, so I can't compare. But it his Breeo is a very solid neat unit.

I have had my Breeo double flame 19" for a bit over a year and love it. It's a bit heavier than it's competition but I hope that makes it more durable.

Maybe. I got the 24” (for home use) and they make a 19”. I assume that’s quite a bit lighter.

I still think the best way to go for portable fire pit is a propane fire bowl like the Outland. Use the AS quick connect and you have a pretty compact, carry-no-extra-fuel solution that you can use pretty much anywhere, even places which don’t allow fires. Sure, it’s not a campfire in the traditional sense. But you and your sheets won’t smell like one either.

I tried with fire pits for a while and got sick of paying campground prices for firewood (and it’s not cool to bring your own from elsewhere). I do love a fire at home though.

I use a propane fire now because of fire restriction in so many parks out west. Wood fires are simply not allowed in most places for may months of the year.

While this thread is older, Breeo just introduced a new Series Y fire pit that is portable. The ones talked about in this thread earlier were the Series X. The Series X was better suited as a home unit than one to travel with. The Series Y was released for sale in the last week and I had mine delivered yesterday. I plan on taking it on trips and using it at home. It's pricey but this unit will have a long life due to it using 304 Stainless steel. It's major completion is Solo stainless steel fire pits. Solo uses some 304 but not all of it's components are 304. Solo Stove is Chinese built, Breeo is American built in it's entirety including using American steel. The Y series is also tri fueled. Lump Charcoal, Wood, and Wood Pellets. It's quite impressive when you see it in person.

It really goes along with the looks of an Airstream.

Where you can have a fire, go for it! We sold our Solo after carrying it in the truck bed a summer, without using it due to fire conditions across the North West down to TX...came to enjoy the absence of smoke using our propane fire pit. Easy start, no smoke, easy out when we want to go to bed. S'mores not a problem... My son has our Solo now and uses it in his back yard now for his grandkids...Solo does a good job but as with any wood fire, some times there is still a lot of smoke with various wood.

None of the smokeless fire pits other than propane are truly smokeless. They do smoke at start up until the pits get hot. Once they get up to temperature they have a double wall construction that draws the smoke through the walls and vents it at the top of the pit. There it is burned by the extremely hot fire that the fire pits generate. Also note that they burn fuel much faster than a standard campfire. So if you have one of these be prepared to buy or carry additional firewood (or other fuel if the unit is multi fueled).

Heating wood pellets are pretty cheap in my neck of the country so I'm going to do some early burns to figure out how much you need to use and how long it will burn. According to Breeo with the Y series fire pit, you cover the bottom of the pit with 4 inches of pellets. As the fire goes down, they suggest adding one cup of pellets to maintain the fire. Also using softwood heating pellets designed for furnaces or stoves will produce more heat and create less ash. The pellets used for cooking are hardwood, burns slower, and it's designed to create smoke, and cost quite a bit more dependent upon the wood used to make the pellets.

Solo released a new 2.0 version of their stoves and those cannot burn pellets due to a change in the bottom of the stoves that will cause the pellets to fall through parts of the base. The Breeo Series X units can only burn firewood. The new Series Y portable unit has tri-fuel capability.

I made a simple $15 modification to my Solo Stove Ranger which allows me to burn pellets. It works fantastic and I can take it across county and state lines without worry. A $5 bag of pellets will last us a week on the road, too--sure beats $1/stick camp wood!

I just picked up a 40 lb bag of heating pellets at Lowes for $6.12. Some of the more rural Farm stores from my home are as low as $4.75 for a 40 lb bag.

If I'm not wrong I think you brought your stove at the 2021 Morraine View Rally? I know someone had one burning wood pellets. I was impressed.
