Ours probably does not qualify for "vintage" but hopefully it has all of the attributes posted above....well, at least most like the engineering (balance, suspension, aero-dynamic shape) which it seems to have.
A big deciding factor in choosing to buy an Airstream was also the fact that you do not climb a stairway to enter. We looked at some SOBs that had quite a flight up; they seemed to sit high off the ground. Not only this they looked like something scared them.

Many years ago, I was serving in South East Asia, and came across an Airstream Land Yacht, in a field.. I had never seen one before - (from the Aussie Outback.) and fell in love with the thing on the spot.
Now, nearly 30 years later, I have my own, much the same age as the one I saw..

I like finding out that I have one of 15 1989 370's and that makes me happy! Also I am puite sure that the najority of airstream owners are right brained (optomistically wacky)

We parked our A/S at my brother's house for a few days over the holidays. The first morning my brother apologized for the wind chimes. "Wind Chimes - what wind chimes" - we did not hear a thing.
The A/S is quite; it is very easy to tow; you have a very peaceful and safe feeling in one! It is just very exciting to just look at one!
Can't explain it!

Tis a no brainer...
Thinking back to all those years wasted..
Man, what I'd give to be able to do those "vacation" trips over again.. BUT, with my Airstream`!!
Thanks for the many, many smiles as I read what each has said..
I find my head nodding in complete agreement with each and every comments~!~!
For me, it's the strange sense of peace that folds gently over my troubled soul as I shut the door behind. Hard to really put into words and, I'm sure that at least one of you out there know what I mean.
Time warp? Yep, that too~!
Yet, the memories that await the writing brings each day's awaking with renewed vigor`

The real question to ask, which can sum it up more efficiently is what don't I like best about having an Airstream..... nothing, zero, nada, zip!
You'll have to pry the keys out of my cold, dead, lifeless hands!

She's a beauty, 'twink!
I agree, it would be much easier to answer 'what don't you like about your airstream?' If I think of anything I'll let y'all know

Thanks.... we spent one night in it over new years and have just started a bunch of prep work doing the basic cleaning, anti slide stuff on the cabinets, etc.
Spring can't come soon enough.

"Annie Green Springs"
Similar to "Boones Farm or Thunderbird Wine"
No cork to worry about and lots of "flavor"

53FC... you poor, sheltered person! Annie Green Springs is a wine. Sort of. Annie Green Springs, Thunderbird, and Boone's Farm are all premium wines; at least as premium as one can typically find with a screw cap! I think in the '70s that they could be had for around $1.69/bottle.
Ahhh... the old days... a bottle of cheap wine and a six pack of 3.2 beer... a couple of friends... an instant party!

In the vein of street wines
Or is that "street wines in the veins?
Let's not forget good ol' Cisco Red - "Takes you by surprise!"
I'm 35 and will be buying my first Airstream this year. I expect to own it forever. Perpetually renewable!
