I like this grill a lot. To me it is a nice balance between portability and function.

Enjoy!

Made a fresh water filter setup with replaceable cartridges

It was time to replace the disposable Camco blue filter and I wanted to find a better solution at a reasonable cost. We use a Berkey to purify drinking and cooking weather.

I looked at the Beech Lane dual filter system but they filters are made in China. Probably fine but I kept looking.

I found Pentair Omnifilter whole house housing for $17 and a two-pack of ECOPURE filters for $18. I had an old aluminum garden hose holder that fit over the trailer’s tire with a little persuasion.

I made a bracket out of spare oak to hold the filter housing to the aluminum holder. A spare fresh water hose donated the 2’ needed to connect to the trailer. I’ll get a repair kit to replace the female end.

Ready for this season!

Someone else posted something on these. Had me very interested. However, some of the reviews weren’t all that positive. I wasn’t sure if there was a second generation fix that came out or not, and I don’t remember what the issues were. Hopefully they work as advertised. I’m guessing you just mark on the strap with something to always get back to the proper tension?

I just got a tractor drawbar that attaches to the 3-point hitch on my JD. I can now lift my AS hitch with the hydraulic system and move it where desired.

Because I have the ProPride I needed the "lot bar" and "tee" bracket (both shown in orange) which is sold by ProPride. The "tee" keeps the head from swiveling when using the ball.

Used it for there first time yesterday.

Adding a new 120Vac duplex outlet at the far end from the power panel of our concrete patio pad. Will probably have to move the trailer. Fortunately, I brought the "yard" PPP accessory along so I do not have to do a full hook up to the tow vehicle. Just use the park tractor to move it 25 feet and then push it back into place.

The shocker for this simple project is that 50' of 1" Schedule 80 PVC, fittings, two outlets and 50' of wire cost almost $500. That is before digging the trench (16" deep per code) and filling it back in to level. I will do all the electrical connections myself.

It was like a scavenger hunt to collect all the necessary parts from multiple stores as no one store had everything. Got the "last" ones in some cases and they had no clue when more would come in to be available for sale.

What a simple idea! No more need to risk your knuckles loading up the bars.

Stainless Steel Sink Grid

Found an affordable stainless steel sink grid for our Globetrotter. Less expensive than the Moen original but good quality. They come in all sizes.

When adjusting the tension arms on the PPP, one uses a measuring tape to measure the amount of exposed shaft. Get the same setting every time.

XCountry, I took a cutoff grinder and trimmed the "fingers" back to just outside the base of the flame burner. There is less heat put into the grid so it cools faster. and the lid can be put down for a work surface (in our 23D counter space is at best sparce).

Run the jack all the way up to completely expose the inner shaft. Spray paint the shaft in some color other than black. Let paint dry. Lower jack to preferred hight for towing. Respray exposed shaft with black. No need to use a measuring tape again.

Storage bags for our large zero gravity chairs from Amazon. Came as a set of two. Room inside to store small side tables. Appear well made with strong material, zipper and webbing that does around whole bag.

The chairs usually ride on our beds when traveling and come out when we arrive at our destination. On an upcoming trip we'll be stopping every night so we'd like them to travel in the bed the truck. Thinking if they are in storage bags they'll be less likely to snag while putting them or other things into the truck bed. Click image for larger version

Well, I’m going to give them a shot. It just makes so much more sense. I look at the stress on the power jack when I lift the truck back end and the trailer tongue just to get the chains to roll on easier. Just skipping that step will be worth it.
Thanks for the reply.

Just an FYI, I found a set on eBay I offered $129 plus $27 for shipping. In case you decide to give these a try.
