Just curious who is completing the 15 point checklist?

Micro Air Thermostat

Micro Air now has replacement thermostats for the older Dometic models. Just got mine yesterday.

$250...

"That's great, when was the last time we used it?"
I didn't have an acceptable answer.

The EasyTouch thermostat is well worth the price for us. This year, we’ve kept the camper at a campsite (with power) about 6 hours away, leaving a connected iPhone within as a hotspot when we’re not there, which lets us fire up the furnace remotely to help manage interior temperatures when outside it might drop below freezing. (And using the Mopeka propane tank monitors, we can also remotely see how much propane the furnace is consuming.)

I added lighted switches to the water heater control board. I have since removed the "on" tag.

A relatively simple mod but very useful.

I just bought the same switches as I think you installed. They have a third terminal requiring a ground? How did you add a ground wire?

The error light that is located with those switches has a ground. Tap that one.

Beddy.
I had reservations on this, since it's a bit pricey, for me, so I waited until it was on sale.
I was never happy making the bed. First, I'm lazy, but it always looked lopsided or the comforter didn't fit or the top sheets pulled out.
The Beddy is like a sleeping bag mated to a fitted sheet. There's a zipper down each side, and an extra flap of top sheet so you never touch the zipper.
It turned out to be a great sleeper. Your feet never kick off the comforter or top sheet. It doesn't wad up as you roll over.
My complaint is the pillowcases are too small, my pillows stick out about 3". I'll cure that with queen pillowcases, but really, Beddy, can't you supply queen pillowcases with a queen set?
It's made for a real queen 60" x 80" but the fitted area seems to take up the slack. I'd prefer it to have the 11" radius bottom corners like the mattress, can they connect with AB Lifestyles?
Sleeps great, looks good open or closed. To make the bed, just zip the zipper.

Thanks Bob, yes there is always some risk, which we try to manage in coordination with the on-site host and through judicious use of the system (site is in Alabama so the furnace is needed only on a few nights a year and only for a few hours).
Best,
Joe

I’ll bet you’re fine. I’d do the same. In fact, I wasn’t interested in the thermostat until you posted what you were doing. My GT is 90 min away, but I do not have an extra iPhone to leave plugged in. Plus northern Missouri is a bit cooler. Ha

Our Phoenix area storage facility has WiFi coverage everywhere. But gas appliances must be off and there is only a 6 amp at 120Vac power draw allowed. One option is a few 100 watt light bulbs in shielded trouble shooting handles played around to keep the chill off. The 23D with important parts hanging out in the breeze like a male Lion's privates are a possible freeze area.

Looks perfect! could you please share the model and where these are available? Looks like they fit the stock faceplate.

Thanks,

Ronnie Dennis installed them for me but he said it was not too difficult. Of course, nothing seems difficult for him!

Why is it needed at all, if no ones in the AS and it's for only a few hours?

I can’t say it’s needed, but we like the flexibility of remotely knowing the interior temperature, and being able warm or cool the interior, if it’s reading colder in winter or warmer in summer than we’d prefer, using furnace or AC. TETO? [emoji4]

Recently purchased a ScanGauge D so I could monitor Boost and optimize the ISB's climbing performance. The first blister pack looked all good, but the plug would not fit into the socket.

Bummer - did some research and found that the communication speed was increased in 2016. To prevent com problems with older systems, they created two versions. The black plug for pre 2016 and the green plug for post 2016.

The one I purchased was a black plug, so I contacted Scan Gauge by phone. They sent me the correct blister pack and a prepaid/addressed mailer. Very efficient process, except for the wait time to get the new one. Easy install, but you have to buy the right version.

If you have upgraded your vehicle and want to reuse your older model Scan Gauge - the black cable can be replaced and the head unit can be reflashed. You send all to Scan Gauge and they do you up for a fee.

Hope to see you down the road. Pat
