Here is an AWESOMELY easy upgrade that every Airstream owner should have.....

“THE RINGER”

This rubber propane tank boot prevents tank and tray damage that causes rust issues.

Don’t say I did not warn you.....

Hi, I got a similar thing last year called Tank Tire, also priced about $40 for two rings, but it doesn’t look like it’s available anymore on Amazon. However, this looks like a similar solution, albeit not as beefy as yours or the one I bought. However, it’s a few dollars less for a pair.

This thread is amazing. One of the things I have been more reluctant to buy is out camping items- tables, chairs, etc. Well, I got around to figuring out a grill and table. I had a heavy road trip grill and got a Blackstone. One of the issues that Blackstone users complain about is the flame theft by wind. So, I got this table to prep and use the grill. It is lightweight and handy too. My pic is a bit long but clicking on it makes it go upright.

I use those Mopeka tank rings and they work great. Better grip, no scratching, and help lift the tank bottoms up a bit so the tank sensors fit without touching the tongue plate.

TV Remotes - yes plural remotes.

One of my two remotes died so I changed the batteries and still dead.

They die, so I went to Amazon and found a no frills guaranteed compatible for $9. Well, I said to myself if one died, the other will follow soon and at $9 I might as well go ahead and order two.

The arrived, I put in the batteries and - yes you did guess it didn't you? Both failed to work. I then went to my one working remote and took its batteries and put them in the new ones... bingo! Fortunately I hadn't thrown out the "broken" one, and when I tested it with good batteries It came back to life.

I will never have to search for a remote again. I will never buy a 24 pack of batteries again, either.[emoji104]

New dining table for 22FB

Made a new dining table for the 22FB.

Our reasons for doing this were:
The original table had an issue with the trim (poorly installed and then glued solid) creating a sharp cutting hazard. I could have fixed that but then we discovered the table is bigger than the space between the benches which created a bump when making the secondary bed.

I was going to trim down the original table and install some ledgers for it to bear on. The goal was to make it flush so there was no bump.

I found a piece of live edge pine at home depot and trimmed it to fit between the benches.

The other challenge was the 3 stage Springfield Table Leg was made to stop the table from coming down any more than it did.

I had to take the leg apart and shorten it by 2" and then reassemble it. That was a real treat!

Now my new table top fits between the benches and stops with the top flush with the benches so no more bump.

It is also a nicer size being a few inches smaller in all directions.

This is what it looks like when in the up position:

MD- the polarity on the Zamp connectors are correct (not reversed, as I thought too when I checked) for Zamp solar panels. It conforms to a standard, SAE I think but not sure. I have Zamp solar panels that connect to the plug and they work just fine.
That's the catch. They're wired for correct polarity from the perspective of the solar panels.
But in every application I've seen, where the SAE connector is wired to a battery, the positive connector is the one recessed in the plug, not the naked one. When I attached the plug to my repeater, it didn't work, and that's when I discovered the plug is "different". I thought about simply flipping the terminals on the battery, but the positive had a red sleeve, so I left it alone, and flipped the way I soldered my connector on the repeater. Works great.

Went to Gander last night and used a 10% off mailer and my $10 renewal voucher to get one of these. Ended up being about $150 out the door.

They didn't have any ovens in stock so I jumped on the website. They prompted me to input my email address for another 10% discount and snagged this for $432 shipped.

Not today but yesterday

We went camping at the first of the month and after getting all setup, switched the fridge from LP to 120v just to have the element fry on us. So after getting back home I searched and found a new element for our fridge and it came in the mail yesterday. Within 30 minutes I was out putting it in. Didn't take long to find out I should have turned the fridge off and let the boiler cool down first but I got the new element in and the fridge working on AC again.

I’m going to try making my own, out of an old bicycle tube.

I will confess, though, that rubber bottoms on the fuel tanks ... venturing into obsessive territory!

Why not just dip the bottom rings in that rubberized paint from Lowes? I dipped my picnic table feet in it and it worked like a charm. Conversely You could Paint the bottom tray of the tank holder with the rubberized paint. I think I will do that myself.

I got it at Out of Door Mart. Here is a link (http://odmrv.com/catalog/index.php?m...oducts_id=1585).

Not only does it look good I was always concerned about scratching the deck lid because it's easy to lay things on it. With the deck cover that is no longer a concern!

We just brought home "Stella" 2000 30' Classic, she is New to us, it took 4 months to close this deal due to Covid19, we had to sell our 2019 Rockwood first.

So far:
Besides decoration

I installed a Low pressure propane port

I have quick connect Y adapter so I can leave the BBQ and the fire pit connected at the site.
