Same idea...different material. Everything I put on them slipped off. 👍 Peel & stick.

Great anti-slip idea. I use similar peel and stick sourced from a skateboard supply house.

Internet search for sheet rubber. If I can locate invoice w/supplier I will post. You can buy different thickness's, hardness, and size/amount. For me I typically buy 3' x 3' rolls in 1/6", 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", and 3/8", some times 1/2".

I used 1/16" on AS. Contact cement to adhere. There are many different types of anti-skid materials as others have shown. I like the rubber for a couple reasons, it is smooth and does not scratch you or things you may drag across, works as both sound and weather barrier, and it is bullet proof.

Best regards and safe travels...........

This is GENIUS! No opening the door to get something then having to dance your way back to the galley.

I gotta do this.

Where did you find them, and what's the part number?

Amazon, there are other suppliers as well. Blum 71T655180 Face Frame 170 degree.

Note this hinge will shift door 9/16" in/towards vertical center door stop/frame. I had to relieve/inset hinge side frame 9/16", closet floor to ceiling added black walnut spacer/backing, added another 4" backing at each hinge location to mount. There are 3 mounting holes on the frame plate. Used MINWAX Self Penetrating Stain Espresso 273, dead on match for our interior wood.

On another note, AS did some funky cabinet work to hold things together. Ours has a floor to ceiling (galley side door) 45 degree wood piece (interior) that is screwed to the back side of the door frame and the interior side panel. They did this to hold the face frame in place. Anchored 1st backing to the 45. 2nd backing anchor through 1st backing into back side of face frame. I also anchored through face frame into corner trim. 0 flex. The doors have some weight to them and this hinge will push the door out further to get the 170 swing.

Best regards and safe travels

A few comments:
- you may want to adjust the accumulator pressure a bit depending on how much pressure the pump puts out. Check the accumulator pressure during your de-winterization work.
- anti-vibration pad - this will help a lot. I used a piece of stiff closed cell foam from a packing box and it went a long way to helping with vibration
- pipes - make sure each pipe is tightly fastened to a wall or use pipe insulation to isolate the pipe from hard surfaces
- make sure all air is out of the lines

After these changes I really have to listen hard to know the pump is actually being used in my trailer.

Hello Steve,

Completed install, nice and quiet, no leaks. However my pump does not want to turn off whether calling for water or not calling for water, pressure is little to non. Bled the air out of the system. Pressure tank called for 3 psi. of air below call for pump to start. Any ideas? Greatly appreciated.

Best regards and safe travels

Twin Storage Upgrade

I had a friend convert the storage areas under the curb side bed from tote bins to full extension drawers.

My nephew came down last weekend and we did some good work on the Airstream. My wife and I both felt that 34" of hanging closet was a waste of at least half of it, so my nephew did all the work to convert half of the closet to shelf space.

It was a little tricky to build a box inside the closet, with the curved back wall, but he made a template for our particular trailer, applied cloth tape to the back of the shelf box so that it wouldn't wear on the aluminum should it happen to touch at some point. (It's held off the side of the trailer by 1/2".)

I'll attach a before and after pic below. Couldn't get a perfect angle, with me smashed up against the other wall, but I think you get the idea - especially if you have a 27FB.

And the OE table looks, well... (now WHY did you guys at Airstream put a table with a top that doesn't match the nice Corian surfaces everywhere else??)

So that came out to be replaced with a snack table. This is just a cafe' table and base that I got from Amazon. This also works great for my wife and I to enjoy dinner or a game anywhere there's a seat.

Keep in mind that we have a set of Salsa cushions on order, so this won't be a sea of white for much longer. And the blond tabletop is close to the wall colors, so it'll be snappy with the Salsa cushions. Once they come.

Attached is a shot of the table in a typical position for use, and one with it stowed for travel.

What Did You Get For Your Trailer Today?

I’ll get some pics later.

BUT I’ve jumped the Land Rover ship -

Picked her up this am. 2019 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 5.7 box Hemi (no eTorque) Patriot Blue with Frost/Dk Blue interior and all the safety bells and whistles. It’s spot on keeping me in my lane and correcting.

Drives like a dream. (with Airstream) demo with 340 miles. With the seats up in back my pooch loves all the room to spread out or cuddle up in the corner and snore.

That sounds like an awesome ride! I've looked hard at the new RAM 1500 but ultimately decided on the 2500 diesel. But I really like the 1500. How about a few pics?

Enjoy!

Interested as we have these types of seats at home. Where did the power come from? We have a 27 FC FB 2017 and we are interested if we can make it happen.

Thanks.

It works on water pressure only. You just need to put a "T" on the water inlet to the toilet (supplied). The seat installs in 2 minutes. Very simple.

On Amazon for $34.88.

Note that it dies not provide warm water for rinsing your tush. The water will be at whatever temperature your water supply is putting out.

In a cold camping situation, this could be a small issue (no innuendo intended at this time)

This is the greatest gizmo I've seen in forever.
Can't wait to string them up outside the Caravel.
They are well made & have 3 brightness settings & will charge your phone in an emergency.
