My trailer has about 36 of these in the interior, so price did matter a lot.

Contact Cabin Bright Joe Brignolo, he has great prices and great selections.
Thanks,

Is there a thread how-to on adding the thermostat? I'd like to do this on our Sport.

Just completed installing my wife's new SMEV range oven. She's happy, so I'm happy!

Please excuse my ignorance but what is a SMEV range oven?

I also see you hung a"be happy" sign. Both installs look fantastic.

It is an Italian made oven. Many Google hits.

The SMEV is the Dometic model CU-434 stove like found in the new Classics. They were hard to find in 2016 but we acquired two of them at $899.99 each plus freight for the Classic and the 23D from:

Bob Jones RV in South Houston TX (713) 910-2940

Since the 23D is a "narrow body" trailer, we discovered the kitchen counter top is 2" shallower than the counter in the wide body rigs like our Classic.

Our installer, A&P Vintage Trailer Works in Paradise, TX (about 35 miles Northwest of Dallas Ft Worth airport) did some custom hickory wood work to make the installation look great. We really like the three different BTU range burners and the electric ignition (connects to a 12Vdc Power source) also ignites the oven. So no more hands and knees trying toilet the oven.

The image of the 23D installation also shows the smaller custom hickory spice rack above the stove and a magnetic stainless steel side splash beside the stove also framed in hickory.

We also installed a similar magnetic stainless steel splash beside the stove in the Classic.

Both stove installations required a custom made stainless steel "U" shaped frame that the stove edge lip resets on. This CU-434 stove is narrower than the stock Dometic stoves we removed.

Much thanks! Installation and fabrication was a labor of love for sure.[emoji7]SMEV is an Italian appliance company that's a subsidiary of Dometic. Wife saw this range oven in the AS Classic's and just had to have one. It's definitely one hot Italian!

We purchased it online with CamperVan HQ. It was $779 plus $99 freight. It was drop shipped from Dometic in Riverside, Ca in 3 days. It arrived quickly and undamaged.

If you want to see my install, see the airforum thread under Frank&Mike "2016 27' Flying Cloud We Made Some Changes".

Happy Travels!

You had me looking for a while to see the 23D width. Then I realized that "narrow body" means something different to one with a 8'6" wide AS than it does to someone with a 7'3" wide Airstream.

I have seen those stoves and really like the look. I would change just for looks if I could. The baraldi fan unit is nice too.

Our 2015 23D is nominally 8' 0" wide while our 2014 Classic is nominally 8' 6" wide. Thus the 2" shallower kitchen cabinet countertop in the 23D.

We bought blinds. Not that we are that close to finishing our redo 73 Excella , but we liked them and thought might as well get them now and add them to our growing pile of stuff we have bought!!!

Mr Bauer, has a new home and friend, my Landy. - I stopped to pick up a sweet tea and fries and as I walked back out - I was sorta shocked.. dang he's a big boy and makes Landy look tiny, it didn't feel 'that big' pulling it.. but they both did very well on the 600 mile drive journey home yesterday. .

The landy enjoyed the tow...but worked more the she's used to, so she punished me by only returning 11mpg. No bad considering my usual mpg is 18-19.

Sink Cover Cutting Board and Table

I finally made our own sink cover cutting board and made a similar flip-up counter table extension (25' FC). Solid hardwoods of walnut, cherry and spalted maple. I think it goes great with the Flying Cloud interior. See AirstreamLife Store. Sorry for the rotated photos....What do you think?

Wow! Thats a plush look. The opening is nice to still be able to use the faucet even when the cover is in place. Wife's been wanting me to make something like that too. She wants a cut out like that to place a small colander into so she can still use faucet but also act as a "garbage can" for food prep waste. Love the walnut. Nice job!

Installed a Dometic ventilation fan kit for refrigerator and added insulation inside behind refrigerator. Made a huge difference on how fast the refrigerator started cooling...especially testing it out with our 109* day.[emoji91]Well worth the two day install.
