Last night we installed a nice Moen faucet in our 67 Caravel.
The old one developed a pretty good drip after de-winterizing this week. All good now. MOAB tomorrow.

Except last time I was out, the fancy valve seemed stuck at 20 psi no matter where I set the screw. Persistent tapping eventually worked it free, but now I've lost confidence in it.

I'm looking to buy a spare water pump for my '24 FC. Anyone know correct Shurflo model to get?

I just checked the Airstream Parts Manual for our 2019 Globetrotter and found the part number “602307”. A Google search found it at Woodland’s that has a photo with the Shurflo part number.

Double check the parts manual for your trailer to make sure they didn’t change it. I bought a SeaFlo as a spare and made a transfer pump to move water from a 30 gallon bladder to the trailer. If my Shuflo fails I can swap it with the SeaFlo.

Thanks. Saw that on Woodlands site too . Using other on transfer pump a great idea. Unfortunately for me I made a transfer pump out of another pump.

Not exactly "for" the airstream - but instead for the mini Starlink dish I haul around so I can check in periodically.

A small tripod and battery combo that powers my dish for about 3.5 hours.

Amazon has a 35% off coupon right now. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXK28P86

And for the Airstream... I got shiny new Valterra (red) sewer hoses. Hate the color - LOVE how easy they are to uncouple. Two 10 foot sections fit in my tiny bumper box. The hoses seem fairly well-made, and I am no longer cussing when unhooking.

I was able to implement something from a Big 3 truck that seems like a positive focus on trailering are the connectivity things that you can tie into:

1) GM TPMS sensors
2) GM Trailing cameras

I was able to try out the "transparent trailer" rear camera on our last trip and it was surprising. Seeing vehicles coming up and passing at the rear of the trailer seems to take away a lot of the blind spots.

I just installed the GM Trailer TPMS sensors and paired them with the truck and now they show up on the Trailer section along with the Airstream. Pairing was done in the trailer app so no need for special tools.

I have been able to remove my Voyager and TST screens from inside the truck. I am still on the fence about stability of these features in the long term. Next trip will be 4 weeks in 3 western provinces and lots of shake-rattle-and-rolling or some gravel roads.

I think Ram and Ford have similar offerings that might be worth looking into.

the milenco Grand aero 3 mirror arms were not long enough
i replaced the hollow arms with solid 1/4" aluminum and added 6" to there length
as well, the mirrors could rotate at times. since that were always in the same spot, i drill tapped and screw in some ss #6 screws to keep them from rotating

they are now rock solid, don't vibrate much while driving

The Shurflo 4008 is what (I thought) we all had. the 4008 is the 12vdc version. I bought my replacement on Amazon. Then I bought the repair kit so I can have a rebuilt spare.

Got rid of the old "not Fantastic Fan" today and installed a MaxxAir 7500k in the front living area of our new to us 2010 Classic Ltd. Sure makes a big difference moving air! Took 2 1/2 hours all done from the ladder!

Centramatic Wheel Balancers

Another 2025 upgrade - Centramatic Wheel balancers. After conducting a significant amount of research it was difficult to determine how effective these devices will be. What also complicates the issue is the number of diverse options including from non users on their value. In the end I decided to go ahead and purchase these devices and do my own test. My rational like those from the video, minimizing any shaking from tires will only make my trailer including the running gear, last longer. Stay tuned!

Oh, I am interested in hearing other comments but only from those who have used this product. I have heard and seen enough from those who have not.

Like you mentioned it is difficult to assess how effective these devices are. But I have them installed and have been using them for about 5 years. I am happy with them and it seems like things inside the AS stay in place but that is probably more road condition dependent than wheels out of balance.

But I know of over the road truckers who use them on their trucks and have great things to say about them.

So it gives me confidence to know that an out of balance wheel does not contribute to shaking the AS and I would buy and install them again.

I've had them on for 2 years. I don't know if they help or not but I'm happy to have them installed... I figure they can't hurt.

Centramatics

Hi, I have run Centramatics, on my trailer, for over ten years. This is the reason that you should have these on your trailer. Trailer brake drums are NOT balanced. Cars and trucks ECT. all have balanced brake drums, but not trailers. You still should have your wheels and tires balanced so the Centramatics only make up the difference caused by the drums. If your trailer has disk brakes, it's not as much of a problem, but I would still recommend them. If you have your wheels spin balanced on the vehicle [very rare now days] this will balance the wheels, tires, and drums. But if you remove one of these wheels, you lost it's balance.

I have centramatics on the trailer and the TV for 8 years. I've noticed fewer broken rivets in the trailer and a consistently smoother ride in the TV. There's a bit of a learning curve for the wheel / brake people when I bring it in for service every few years.
