Bob,
Looking to doing the same after pricing new molding. Already spoke to Vinylstriping.com
Did you actually remove the molding and then adhere the vinyl tape, or did you just leave molding on and clean the rail and adhere the tape to the rail?
Thanks in Advance !

Thanks, MeFly2 and MollysDad, for your helpful responses. I will definitely get a tongue weight scale. Sounds like they are pretty straightforward and easy to use.

Ordered a Dometic CRX 1140S (Stainless 4.8 cu ft Fridge). I was hopeful to use the original Dometic, but the compressor doesn’t kick on when plugged in and turned to electric mode. In the end, I think finding someone to restore it, would only provide a short term unit, that will likely be too difficult to troubleshoot heat issues with (judging from other posts I’ve read here). I will plan to add some thermostat controlled 12V fans to the fridge compartment, nonetheless.

Added 12v Anderson Power Pole for portable fridge
We picked up a ICECO VL45 portable compressor fridge/freezer on Prime Days. We’ll carry it in the bed of the truck instead of a cooler and plug it in when needed.
I added a 12v Anderson Power Pole plug in the trailer and the bed of the truck instead of the standard cigarette outlet which are less efficient and have a tendency to pop out.
Installing it in the trailer was easy - there’s room in the WFCO breaker cover with access right to the DC fuse block. Our RAM came with the Upfitter AUX switch setup so I configured AUX 1 to Latch and Battery as the source. The ICECO has three battery run down settings to choose from.
The ICECO will go from room temp to 0F in an hour. Nice to have a backup that runs on 12v or 110v. and is super efficient.

Anti backflow -Resealing roof gutters and vents
New Camco anti backflow valve. Tired of fresh water tank filling up when connected to shore water. Yes, newer Shurflow 3GPM, tried the cycling of pump, clean strainer etc but randomly still happens Willy Nilly.
At 17 Yrs old roof sealant areas really showing cracking and needing replacement.
Starting with driver side gutter rail and rivets, black tank vent and bathroom fan…..Using SikaFlex 715 self leveling sealant. Scrape with bone tool,, brush and final prep clean with Acetone (and NOT alcohol) specifically per a factory instructions. (Yes, I leaned into gutter rail it doing black vent but will clean that up after it sets).

Did you put that at the output side of the pump? I put mine on the input side and now the pump runs randomly for no reason. I’m thinking of moving it.

If you're coming to Aluminalina, I'll bring the scale and offer a test weigh.

Solo Mesa
I recently bought the Solo Mesa tabletop fire pit. It works well however I am still experimenting with the best fuel to use to make the fire last longer. Mesa is very small with a small area to whole the wood. To date I have used cooking pellets and twigs I found on the ground. In both cases the fire last for about 10 minutes. I will try it with hardwood to see if it will burn longer. The flame is really nice and it works for our intended purpose.

MoonShade by MoonFab. Excited to see how it works next week. It's a versatile portable awning to attach to the trailer.
Nice set up video from Tim Shephard (TheVAP) on YT.
If it works well no more packing our humongous not so easy up.

Bedroom overhead charging boxes
I made 2 boxes and mounted them on the underside of front storage cabinets to hold iPad and phone while charging at night. This frees up space on the nightstand and keeps the charging cords up out of the way. I still need to tidy up the charging cords, but it looks promising.

Sliding Barn Door in Bedroom
My wife wanted a sliding barn door in bedroom so I made my own. I did this project back in May and have traveled 2,400 miles with it so far. The pictures show the door before and after I added the retractable spring plunger and bushing to lock the door in place during travel. I made the door from 3/4” poplar and 1/4” plywood panels to keep weight under control. I machined the roller parts from aluminum (what else?). I am 6’ 3” and haven’t been hitting the track, so that’s good. We also like the way it blocks light and sound at night. Brenda is happy.

Ron.
Peeking further into your pictures, you appear to have one or two recliners in front.. is it possible to learn how that got put together? Thanx!

Hi Genebuilder,
Here’s a few pictures of our dinette to recliners conversion. I made this change in 2019. The recliners were purchased from etrailer.com and I made the table myself. The table has a flip up feature to make a slightly larger surface when needed. I got the idea from the old Airstream motor homes which had something similar. It has been a nice improvement from the original dinette but I plan to rework the lounging area again after I make some galley changes.
Thanks for the interest,
Ron
