What could it be?

As of the moment I am working on a deal for an airstream... I have some information but I have not seen it and won't know a lot more about it until next week... BUT in this information I have been given there are some curiosities. This is what I have been told so far

Airstream
Silver rounded body style
16 feet
dual axel (this makes me wonder)
owned it more than 20 yrs

Needs electric box replaced
used at hunting camp
floors solid, no leaks, not gutted
will pull out and down the road now

doesn't remember the year (is hunting up the title now)

So here is the curiosity I have seen... 16 foot with a duel axle .. at this point I am assuming that it is more like a 20-23 foot because they did not count the tongue and bumper... would that be correct? ... or did they actually put a duel axle on a 16 foot trailer?

I seem to remember there was a dual axle shorty I saw years ago... it was an International version designed for rough roads, etc. But I think you're probably right that it's '22 or more... you'll find out soon enough.

Either way, congrats on the pending "new kid" in the family. We look forward to seeing photos!

I think your right about it being a longer trailer. A 23'actually measures 20' body length not including the tongue. I had a 23' at one time with 2 axles it was made in the late 80's. If there ever was a smaller one made with 2 axles? Could be, but I have not run across one.
