Hi Folks, I have come to the conclusion that I have to let my beloved JCW mini cooper go and buy a little jeep wrangler that I can easily tow behing my airstream. I am in the cape cod area but generally by my cars from the south or Arizona to avoid unwanted salty road damage. I am ready to buy a jeep that has been mostly flat road towed and in good to great condition. Please share this with anyone of our airstream friends that may want to let their jeep go. My mini cooper is wonderful but no one told me that it had to be towed on a trailer only and thats just too much work for me. Please spread the word for me and let me know if anyone out there has a jeep for me.
Thank You
Barb L.
If you’re looking for a ‘12 4-door Sahara w/Roadmaster baseplate and 69k miles, I have one in mind. Can also include a Falcon All-Terrain towbar and RVI Brake 2.
We just downsized from a diesel pusher and all we tow now is a Harley on a trailer.
Located in north NJ about 20 minutes from Tappan Zee bridge.

Hi Folks, so we found out that we can fit up our Equinox for flat tow..my Husband is Cheap..I mean "thrifty" lol ..and said we don't need a Jeep..I will just rig up our Equinox..but he is letting me keep my JCW mini cooper so I am not complaining. Before we do this..does anyone in my Airstream world have info on why an Equinox is not good to tow flat? I checked out info online through blue ox and it is for sure towable. Thanks everyone for your wisdom
Barb L.
A quick online search shows that some of the Equinox line can be flat towed and some cannot. Just make sure yours is one that can be and you should be fine once you get it equipped.
I flat-tow my '16 Wrangler Rubicon JKU behind my '04 T1N.
