If the numbers are blue, that might indicate membership in The Airstream Club (TAC).

Thanks for information. When I called the club in order to get replacement numbers you have to be a member.
Any ideas to paint over or another place to purchase them?

I am a little confused. You want to have Wally Byam numbers on your trailer, but you don't want to be a member of the club that the numbers represent? Why not join the club and display your numbers?

BTW, my first job at IBM was servicing keypunch machines. Nice user name...

The numbers are usually a vinyl adhesive product.

They can be removed without damage using plastic single edge razor blades to lift and peel the vinyl and "Rapid Remover" spray and paper towels to remove the adhesive residue.

Both items easily available on Amazon...

The numbers are assigned by the club to current members, and should only be displayed by legitimate current members...If you want to display numbers, please join the club.
