RL Trailers
I'll keep my inexpensive (?) Safari. I couldn't bring myself to pull a $150,000 trailer down a dirt road and through the tumble weed as I do with mine.

The Polo.com link for the Ralph Lauren Airstream is not working. Are there any other places where there are pictures???
I keep reading about this (or are there more than one) but could not even Google one up. Any ideas???

Thanks folks.
These inspire me as we plan to do ours thematically as well.
Kate plans to do ours in a Jungle motif, with lots of leopard prints, earth tones, greens, plants (not real ones) etc.

I don't think it's money as much as time and patience and having some basic tools. Put a few grand in my hand and I think I could gets some wood with bark on it and do the Ralph look.

I like the utility/surplus look; seems to fit the airstream aeronautical origins. Nautical works, but it's not my thing. Adirondack? Western?! If I wanted that, for 150K I'd get a cabin!

Utility/Surplus
The Utility/Surplus look has grown on me, also, although I don't remember what I voted for way back when this started.
I would replace that airplane photo with th F-86D drawing that is on my office wall, and then I would name the trailer "Sabre-D" like my present trailer. Maybe Sabre-D II".

boy,
How'd you like to buy one of those and then find out it is too small.
I guess it is a design thing to be parked...
Dumb.
But, I could rip out my beautiful 61 Tradwind interior and do something with the Jachter name, maybe for $30,000. It would probably be useable...
Now if I only could afford the gas for the burban...

I can't remember who I promised ...
'
I just posted a new THRE'AD...if you know how to search this out...you'll find it... and the 2 pix are in Members.
The value is not $150,000..yet!!!
Nor is it a RALPH LOREN...but it IS a "design by Cherie Therese"...
and I think they can all ("Ralph Baby", and the owner of the $150K A/S) ...they can go eat there heart's out! Plus, mine is an ORIGINAL.
(BTW...I'm NOT finsihed....so please keep that in mind when you browse the Album.)

I'm redoing my '65 Globetrotter in a Route 66 theme. I have great vintage-looking upholstery to go in next week, retro microwave, and '60's era accessories. I even bought a full sheet of the "Hello America" postage stamps and framed it. The stamps look like tiny postcards from all 50 states.
Ralph Lauren ain't got nothin' on me!!

No Limits
I want to see pictures of your interior ... even as you go...like I'm doin.
I think I'll go start a new Thread...seems like there's a pretty good size bunch of us "retro" Route 66 nuts. I don't have the theme throughout Bear...but I do have a door curtain made from the brocade fabric with that theme. Bear's interior is a little ecclectic. Ice Cream Parlour stool in the galley (in the way but I need it (microwave hole is now a desk and it sits there); and I can swivel it around and peel potatoes at the sink.
Speaking of all of this...I got the credenza top back from the cabinet guy...who cut the Lucite topper for it (and it has the 1-1/4 inch aluminum retro T-Trim on the edges....AWESOME!
Pet Sitting? Need any organic shampoo?
I do like Ralph Lauren stuff...and the fact that his ads on TV in in magazines are wholesome and healthy for our youth to pattern themselves after --- not like CK...ykWIM?

If you look at the list of stuff that comes with each of those small trailers, you would have to hitch an extra Bambi on the back just to carry it all. Neat stuff, but not very well attuned to practical living in a tiny trailer.
