I recently came across this site in my search for some info on vintage A/S trailers.
It even has one trailer (not A/S) listed for 1892~!!!! (using real mule power) http://www.allmanufacturedhomes.com/...bile_homes.htm

Interesting is that Airstream is the only survivor from the early era. Many of these really look good.
Now I am I am going to have to waste a 1/2 hour looking at all of them. Thank God for Broadband.

That Trailer Park Trash book looks interesting (she looks familiar I think I know her) . And the Montgomery Ward is a collectors item now $$$. Actually I visited this site a few months ago and more has been added since then which is good, but tornado's sure dont like them.

Not only are the A/S still around, they're regarded as an "American Icon".(which all of us knew)
Have you ever visited the 'vintage-vacation" website? The work they do to bring back old trailers is out of this world~! (I've been told that, some of the projects were in the 6 figures range)
