Been involved with the Army my entire adult life, either in uniform or as a civilian contract employee...
Massachusetts National Guard 1976-77
26th Infantry Division Band
US Army 1977-86
19th Army Band Ft Devens
298th Army Band Berlin Brigade
389th Army Band Ft Monmouth
NY National Guard 1986-91
199th Army Band
Still working for the Army at Ft Monmouth as the staff photographer/electronic graphics guru for the Project Manager, Defense Communications and Army Switched Systems (PM DCASS)
Got out of uniform as a SSG/E6 with perma-six disease (any Army bandsman can tell you what that is...)

I was on the USS DeHaven DD 727 from 68 to 72 as a boilerman 3rd class. We went to Vietnam on two 6 month tours and spent most of our time on the gun line supporting the troops on land with our 5" 38 guns. We also would serve as plane gaurd for the aircraft carriers when they launched and retrieved planes. It is nice to know there are so many vets in this group. I did find a assoication online from my ship. There are lots of them out there if you search your group or ship name you might find a group of your old friends. It has been fun talking to some of my old shipmates after 35 years. Well time to go paint some Por 15.

US ARMY'66' TO '69'
Europe and levied to Vietnam, certailed into Okinawa. Travel agent of sorts. Watched the ingress and egress of thousands and thousands. Hoping for no more wars and that the bad guys, at long last, get it. Joined to defend the American Constitution, and still doin' what I can.

Joined in '57 out in '61. Was the athletic coordinator at a naval air station in Florida. Hey ........someone had to do it. It gets worse.......a life guard at the officers pool...........and worse............their wives were there. Hope my wife doesn't see this. That's what the Nave wanted me to do. What was I suppose to do? I did it.
