Useless information

If anyone has the Jimmy Buffett album Far Side of The World it has a video of Buffett in the recording studio which you can play on your computer. He uses what to appears to be a Bambi or Bambi 2 as part of the recording studio and all the recording of his singing is done from the trailer. This is somewhat ironic as in one of his very early albums he has a line in a song stating how much he hates trailers in Florida and wishes a hurricane would blow them all away.

Did I hear right that TIME magazine had a cover story on Airstreams & their new popularity last week?. Someone also said Buffet was mentioned in the article as owning one. Just goes to show he is older AND wiser.

Update-
I looked through the 4/22 issue of Time magazine and found no Airstreams or parrot heads.

yep, useless information...

I learned early in life, and I didn't even grow up with a TT in the family. I bought mine when I was 33 and then both of my brothers followed suit... But they weren't wise enough to envest in an Airstream. They will learn one day...

I believe it was mobile homes not trailers that Jimmy said he hated.

Most of the people who retire in Florida
Are wrinkled and they lean on a crutch
And mobile homes are smotherin' my Keys
I hate those bastards so much
I wish a summer squall would blow them all
The way up to fantasy land
Yeah they're ugly and square, they don't belong here
They looked a lot better as beer cans

Here it is.

And that's why it's still a mystery to me,
why some people live like they do...
