My guess is it's a home made tear drop? Looks very interesting tho.

Looks more like an early teardrop with the fold out galley. Very cool.

I'd say depending on how much the origional cost's you, you could end up with a very cool teardrop probably worth $195.99 less than what it costs you to refurb But it really depends on how you do it and if your intent is to sell and make a profit or do it for yourself.

That is not a Holiday, this is....
if you want to see more pictures of her, you can go to this page of my blog.
I think you have a home built there. Popular Mechanics used to be very popular and it was popular to build trailers from plans offered to the populous.

my guess is 47 Kit or Homebuilt.
Final answer.
If thinking of it as a financial investment, you will always lose. If you are looking at it as a vehicle to good times, you can only win.

Here's a typical teardrop trailer sight where plans can be got. I think a set of plans from the Popular Mechanics or somewhere else would be good information if you are going to renovate her. Would be a fun project.

The Tin Can Tourists might have more information amongst the group. They have members of all types of vintage trailers.

I've asked everyone, even asked mike from American Pickers, he loved it but had no clue about it. I dont know where else to try to find out more about this.

Without more detailed pics I’d say it’s a home built. I’ve seen a number of these that have been rehabed show up at classic car shows.
Looks like the fasteners holding the skin on are rusting. Is the skin aluminum, painted hardboard or plywood? In any case the sidewall framing is probably wood so check along the bottom edge for rot.
Good luck. Could be a fun project if its not too far gone.
Tom
