Ultrasonic Pest Control

I just plugged in an ultrasonic pest control device in my Airstream this weekend in an attempt to keep it mouse-free. I've been using one of these devices in my lake home for the past three years. I can report that I am astonished and amazed that we have had no intruders in this time period. The lake home is on piers, wood-framed, 20' from the lake shore, wooded, with an enclosed crawl space. It is by no means tight enough to stop a casual mouse from wanting entry! That experience was the basis for my decision to use a similar unit in the Airstream. When the trailer is parked we keep it plugged in. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had similar success with the ultrasonic units? Prior to the 3-year test, I would have been a real skeptic - but, at this point, I'm probably a "believer!" I certainly don't want to start another "mouse thread" - so let's keep the other "solutions" at bay.

I've had that in my trailer for about 2-3 years now (put in after a mouse got in) and have had no traces of mice since. When I did have a mouse, I went to war, moth balls under the trailer, bounce in drawers, commerical mouse killer, and that sticky trap stuff. As I said have not seen one since - the moth balls tend to melt away, so I really do think its the ultra sonic pest control. Have a friend that has a bunch of collectable cars in a barn that the mice used to get into the headliners, has not had one mouse since plugging one in.

The utra sonic noise is supposed to mess up their hearing which leaves them vurnerable for attack from other animals - mice don't like that very much, so they stay away......

We've used one in our house for several years with no signs on mice. A control was the first thing my wife put in our new camper last month.

Have them in the office. Fewer dead mice in the walls. They only work line of sight. I don't think they help with hiding places.

Where can you find and what brands are you using? Sounds like they might work.

I got mine from camping world - uses both 9v battery and can plug in. I think any of them will work - sure Wally World has them. Battery does not last very long.
