My 64 Trade Wind is named June Bug after my 80 year old Mother.
Mom is really looking forward to ' going up to the lake ' again.

We are fascinate with the country Italy. Our Globetrotter is named
Aria Ruscello. Literally translated Aria (air) Ruscello (Stream) we call our Airstream Aria for short. And we have two Mrs. G's 1985 dolls. The gal is Aria and the boy doll is Ruscello. They are our mascots. Anne

Well it's time we picked a name for our 2006 Safari before it's 2007.....and Grey Goose it is. She's quite shiny for a goose and we like that just fine

Liberator

We were looking for a name that related to our feeling when traveling...
Went thru many...
Freedom,
Liberty,
Independance,

Then kinda backed off and slept on it...
The next day it hit us!

Liberator!

After dads tour as a tail gunner in the B-24 'Worfless'

1957 Sovereign: Rosie

I named her for Rosie the Riveter (of "We Can DO it" fame), as she is going to require quite a few rivets.

The jury is still out as to whether or not we will paint a Varga girl on her, though...

"R SHACK" because Radio Shack options paid for the first one and we have just carried the name forward.

After showing our Bambi to some friends, they always ask how "Bambi" is doing, so that's the nickname that has stuck. Our license plate is "R SKPOD" (Our escape pod), because...well, you know.

While we have still not decided on a name for our AS (it will come to us some day), the question of name "placement" comes to mind.

Does the name reside in your thoughts and reference, does it become a "vanity license plate", is it placed on the trailer someplace, or is it whatever you choose.

I ask because on my boats, the transom was always the preferred place for the name. When we decide on a name, I would like to have vinyl made in blue to match the striping on my Classic, but I want to keep it "Classy".

Uh Oh - did I just come upon a name for her? Classie!

Thanks for the input.

We named the pod "KERAMOS". 2nd AS and 2 sailboats later. Means ceramics in Greek, and since we are both ceramic artists, the clay stuff pays for the toys(and everything else). I guess that means we are Keramikos. Also the name of a small Greek island and...the name of the professional fraternity of ceramic engineers. There, all you ever wanted to know about Keramos......
Cheers, Jeff

"Ethel"

Our dogs are Desi and Lucy. So I guess Ethel was a given. And so the Avalanche obviously is Fred

Roscinante

We named ours ROSCINANTE after Don Quixote's horse who took him on all his adventures AND after John Steinbeck's camper he used traveling America with his dog Charlie. With a Bambi Safari, the name plays to our love of Latin things and gives us a "theme" we can work into the trailer.

We named ours "Carmine O(hio)' because I am an OSU alumn, our son was born at University Hospital and I started my coaching career there in 1973 while attending graduate school. Our TV is named "Brutus B(uckeye)". How about them Buckeyes? Go Bucks!, beat them Gators.

We can't get vanity plates in NM for trailers. My better half is from Savannah, GA so the TV plate is Savannh and our Quick Silver is Tybee for Tybee Island, GA. in Silver letters on the back window. Our two Yorkies pitched for "Casa de los Perros".

Finally Selected a Name

After much thought, we decided to name our Safari, Daisy, and the tow vehicle Hoke. So now Hoke will be driving Daisy. Get the movie connection? We liked the analogy.

Couldn't find anyone here who had made those choices, so we hope we haven't copied anyone.
