Somehow we knew from the first trip our AS was a girl. We have named her "Silver Sally."

Grand Ole Opry Legend
for some reason i tend to name all my vehicles after their previous owner. I will only buy something from a cool person so that saves me from ever naming my new purchase "jerk". My old 70's maverick was named doreen. Doreen was a sweet old lady with tennis balls on the bottom of her walker, and our new 72 tradewind is name "ferlin". Ferlin Husky was the original owner of our new airstream!

The names we use keep changing as does the trailer that we will keep.
Well since the Overlander that got smushed is the one (for now) and with all the patching that is going on (photos to follow next week under a different thread) "Frankinstream" seems to be the one, for now and just may stick.

Our interim choice will be 'The 40 Winker'.. relates to a joke a motel owner friend told us about the other week
Our current camper is called 'PJ Snoozer' or 'The Snoozer' or 'PJ' for short.

Airylle
"And Airylle is my name..." with apologies to Alexander Pope. The original line goes: Of these am I, who thy Protection claim,
A watchful Sprite, and Ariel is my Name.
Airylle, the Airstream nearly incinerated in a movie pyro stunt, has yet to go on an actual adventure...but soon.

We got ours new so it had no personality. We named it Adventure after the Wally quote. "Adventure is where you find it." because we bought it go have adventures in.

We have two.
The first one is "Lady Penelope" like in Thunderbird, you know the muppet show...
so she's a female.
The other one is "Ginger" like I don't know...
He's a male...
And we're still waiting for them to give us a nice Ba(m)by...
may be the mother is too old (35 years)....

Seymour
Very first post from us. We haven't camped in 20+ years and are brand new to Airstream but look forward to beginning our adventures.
Since our "new" motorhome is 24 years old and in need of repair we are at times somewhat overwhelmed with what faces us before he is road worthy. We read and soak up everything we can on the Forum and use the "Search" option often. It is so great to have this much resource in one location.
In the Airstream tradition we named "Seymour" in honor of a former owner. Right now Seymour has more parts missing or broken than what actually works but we love him just the same.

Our current Airstream is the Betty Lou. Named after a B-17 my dad worked on during his Army Air Corp days in WWII. Our new Airstream will be the Betty Lou II.

Welcome Jimarq and Seymour! Glad to have you aboard the forum. We, too, are fairly newbies, so still call our Bambi "baby." In time we will give her a more permanent name. Happy trails to you!

Our girl's name is "Maude." Why not give one American icon the same name as another -- from the same era.

%-} It's going to take me a long time to read all of this fun thread! When we bought her the previous owner removed the name "blossom" from her backside at my request because the lettering was BiG 10" high and pink. Didn't think my sweetie would go for that.
So, we've only had our little 16' Bambi for less than a week and this is the sequence so far. I said, "I want to name her, Duck!" (like a pull-toy) My husband, Skip, just looked at me, and said "Snake Eater!) (He's a former Green Beret.) Then I suggested Xena !...like the tv series.
Finally he came up with LITTLE LULU who was my favorite comic strip character when growing up. I think it also works 'cuz of Lucille Ball....not to mention my granny's name was Louella.
LULU for short.
