Hi Tim,
nice pic of your airstream!!
I love Google earth!! Its such a great tool to play with, although most area shots of Europe are not as detailed as they are of the US.
But it was possible to get a real close look of the place Steffi and I married in Aspen, Colorado and she was very happy of that Satelite Picture as she wasn´t with us that day.
Did you know that there is a page where all the google earth addicted post what they have found?? For Example it is possible to see a Boeing 747 approaching the Airport of Santiago de Chile...
I will keep my eyes open for more Airstreams on google earth!!
Bjoern

FYI I merged Safari Tim's new thread into this one.
BTW, it looks like the Google folks are accessing the same pictures as TerraServer since I check out their version and the picture is identical. The big difference with Google is the fact that the resolution is soooo much better. Neat stuff!

I've been using TerraServer for a few years now and am always amazed with the stuff I've seen, but then I'm a map junkie. Go check out the campground you're going to next. Urban sprawl? Pan back and see what's left of the open space in your county. Know where to look and you may see a railroad roadbed that was abandoned 40 years ago.
Naturally, a tile boundry runs right thru my house so posting didn't work out very well. (Or more likely I'm still a computer illiterate.)
When you're looking for the best resolution, if your lucky, click on the "urban" view. That will give the best color shots. Also most of the newer pixs were taken when the leaves are off the trees.
Enjoy the view, Tom.

This is fun Sheri--Cool
But it's not updated in our area either yet. I think this is from 1999. This used to be an 200 acre farm, now it's a subdivision with 20-30 parcels along a private dirt road. There were only a few homes built three years ago when we moved here to Michigan from Illinois, but now there are more as it fills in slowly. The lake is manmade and named after the seller's wife, Lake Lynnette. It is used for waterskiing, hence my street name Skiers Alley. Soooo this is where you would see my Airstream if you looked now.
Airstream from outer space?---naw---that's just Flash Gordon.

Elroy from the sky
Here's mine; the date of the photo says February of last year and we didn't have the trailer at that point yet, but the reflection in my driveway is just way too big to be my Volvo...so I think it's our silver baby!
