To Name or Not To Name...that is my question!
So did you name your coach? What did you name it and why?

My wife called our first trailer "The Silver Sapository", not a very flattering name. However, she did like the trailer. It looks like our new trailer has picked up the name "Jelly Belly" because it looks like one of those candies. My daughter hung that name on the new trailer and it looks like it's going to stick.
We never started out to name a trailer, the names just sort of happened.
FYI - We never had names for our SOB trailers. I guess they don't have any personality

Our first, a 63 Safari was just "the trailer"
The 03 Classic was the "PITA", if you don't know why, don't ask.
After several seasons of making it right, it's morphed into, "Cloudsplitter", just seems to fit as we spend a lot of time in the Adirondacks.

While I have talked to ours quite a bit in the last two weeks, most of it under my breath, as of right now, it's name is mud. But DW is leaning towards "Toto" based on the storm damage and haul from Kansas.

Our girl is Lucy in honor of Lucille Ball and her exploits in the 'Long, Long Trailer'
An Airstream without a name is almost sacrilegious. Then again, we name everything. Our tow vehicles are Daisy and Olivia.

Klattu: Wonderwoman says 'back off'!
We've had so many vehicles I don't name them anymore. We tried to name the trailer but it didn't stick. It is simply called 'the trailer'.

We named our trailer Stella. Not after Wally's wife, though. It's named after the beer (Stella Artois) that brought Leah and I together.

It's "the trailer". Barb came up with a name that was so bizarre to me, I refuse to even remember it, so it's still "the trailer". The truck is "the truck" and the SUV is "the car". The cat is "the cat" to me, though "Sable" to Barb. I suggested "Spike" and "Ace", but Barb didn't find that humorous though I thought it might compensate for his neutering.
Depending on maintenance and what has broken lately, "the trailer" may have adjectives attached to it, many of them not allowed to be repeated here.
This brings up the strange names for various models of SOB's. Many are named after aggressive animals such as Cougers, Pumas, etc. Even more aggressive is the "Intruder". I never want to park next to those people. While people name their RV's after women, manufacturers often promote aggression.

History
The Greek goddess of the Moon is the virgin Artemis. Artemis was said to ride her silver chariot across the sky, shooting her arrows of silver moonlight to the Earth below. She was the Lady of Wild Things and the goddess of the hunt. She loved hunting lions, panther, stag and deer, roaming the mountain forests and uncultivated land with her nymphs. Her favorite method of capture was her fleetness of foot and her silver bow and arrows.
Artemis was also a friend to mortals, dancing through the countryside in silver sandals and giving her divine protection to wild beasts and the very young.
Am I over thinking this just a bit?? What do you think

Man, it must be the altitude GENE.... Mine is also just the "trailer" or "airsteam" and when I was putting the belly pan back on many unmentionable adjectives.
Every vehicle is just called what it is, Maybe this is uninspiring , but it seems practical when talking to others about them.
What if I said; "hey johnny has been giving me trouble" The person I was talking to would think it may be my son. When I was referring to my truck...
Keeps life simple when we have a 75 truck, 89 Jag, 90 Jeep, 01 4 runner, and a 08 Sequiea, also 3 utilitiy trailers,a tractor and the Airstream.
It's bad enough we named the cat, dog,and horse. Thanks goodness the kids didn't name the chickens, Well they did name the 2 Rabbits that escaped (by accident Really ) and there still hanging around, wheres a fox when you need one...

We named it The Silverdome because (a) I grew up in Detroit area not far from the stadium, (b) it really fits. surprised I haven't seen it elsewhere on the Forum.

The Crappy Camper
When we 1st bought our AS it was a total mess. Nothing worked and everything was so dirty. One day my husband ask what i was doing and i said "Still cleaning the crappy camper!" ....then the grand kids started saying "I love the Cwappy Campo" it was so cute hearing them say it, It kinda stuck.
Now that we have almost completed a remodel we are thinking of a different name for her.....I'll let you know what it is when we change it...
