Just wanted to post a public "thank you" to Sneakinup, for so graciously sending me an obsolete and otherwise unattainable part. Without it, I would have had to trash my furnace...a $500+ replacement cost.
When I took my furnace out to have it checked out, cleaned and adjusted, this flange that holds it in place and seals the exhaust pipe against the skin, thus keeping out deadly CO fumes, just sort of disintegrated in my hands. I figured, "no big deal, I'll just buy a replacement". wrong! they don't make 'em anymore, and nobody has them. Parts from newer model furnaces won't fit.
I just happened to come across Sneakinup's gallery, and noticed a pic of his old furnace that he was retiring. I sent a pm asking if he still had that flange, and he did, and he sent it to me. just came in the mail yesterday. Problem solved!!!
Thanks again to Sneakinup, AND the forum
