Unhappy Stolen Airstream Trailer!!!

In Oklahoma City, OK , from Crown Heights Florist on N.W. 52 and Western Ave, Someone STOLE our AIRSTREAM TRAILER!!!!
1969 Overlander Land Yacht, 27' Classic. It was parked South of Florist building and next to the Antiques Store just North of Pickard Art Gallery on the very busy street of Western Avenue and it was STOLEN Monday, August 4 sometime after 5:30pm and before 8:30am Tuesday, August 5!!! So if you saw anything that night or hear of anything, please call the Flower Shop-800-883-5751. I have her VIN and Title #, she is registered and insured but that is not the point. She has a name- Eartha- and much sentimental value.
PLEASE ADVISE what we should do other than the police report and just getting the word out to everyone in the community.
Here are the description, facts, and numbers of the Airstream Trailer stolen
from Flower Shop in Oklahoma City, OK on August 5, 2003:
1969 Overlander Land Yacht, 27' Classic Body with no dents , mylar windows , new awning, fresh painted blue stripe around body.
WBCC # - 3031 (faded on front and back, but there)
Licence Tag #-F34939
VIN #-127D9S687
Title #: Private (As suggested by JaceBeck, I have removed the title number from this post ~ InsideOut)
1-800-883-5751
We would greatly appreciate an email or post or call if you have any contact info or sightings or see one for sale that matches description. Thank you, thank you.

Oh my gosh!! I am so sorry!!! I grew up in Tulsa and its so hard for me to think of Oklahoma as having crime this way. I don't know if anyone would be brazen enough to try the E-bay route with Eartha, but you might keep your eyes open there, or maybe you can e-mail E-bay to watch for her registered #. Or could the thief/ves try taking her overseas?? Maybe someone here knows how to keep that from happening? Would you alert the port authorities? I will wish/pray for a timely and productive recovery for you. Leigh

it takes a low-down, yeller-bellied, lilly-livered no goodnick

That stinks. Call the local paper, local tv news stations, and see if they'll do a human interest story about it. Play up the sentimental value of it. It's awful big to hide, if you get enough attention, someone might decide it's too hot to hang onto, or the neighbors might spot it and turn them in. Good luck!

Eartha

I feel terrible for you. I would be so mad. Try postings in truck stops. Truckers get the news out pretty good. Good luck to you.

That's a real bummer!

I've never gave that much thought. Just figured that would be so unlikely I guess.

I'll be watching for that # when I see one on the road!

I have it memorized 3031

I would be <really> dissappointed and angry. I know how you feel.

Good idea! I agree. It should be hard to hide something like this. If many are aware.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. Get your title # off of this thread! Nobody needs to know it but you and the police. It is your only legal proof of ownership.

Good luck on the recovery effort.

Unhappy

Really sorry for your misfortune, hope they find it safe and well very soon!

...don't mean to be pessimistic, but it sounds like a particular kind of theft...on commission maybe...

Just to have all possibilities covered:

"Did anyone enquire about your AS lately?"

"Anyone asked you if you were interested to sell?"

...who knows it may be a lead worth checking out...

Wish you all the best!

Cheers

Be on the lookout!

Sorry to hear of the theft. I hate to mention this but you shouldn't just be on the lookout for the trailer, but more so the resale of parts from it. That is the normal course of events. It likely will be stripped of everything, such as windows and appliances, and they will be sold individually. The shell will probably be recovered eventually.

ON the other hand sometimes the thieves will sell the whole thing to someone - that happened to one of the members on this forum last year I believe.

In the meantime will keep an eye out for "3031". You mentioned mylar windows - can you explain what you meant? Is the glass covered with reflecive mylar or are the windows themselves mylar?
